Maryland Fried Chicken

This chicken & fish restaurant is a Plant City tradition! The very best place to pick up a bucket or sit down and enjoy eating inside! I've always enjoyed their chicken, coleslaw, fish. Mashed potatoes and of course the crinkle fries! Always a clean store! The servers are always friendly and helpful too! Always nice to see a smile! If you haven't enjoyed the chicken & fish cooked in peanut oil, you're missing out!

You will not find better tasting chicken anywhere!! It's a small joint with a hand full of tables inside and the smell of mouth watering chicken in the fryer! I've been eating here since I was kid and now my kids love it too!! I recommend call ahead and place your order for quicker service as it is really popular with ALL of the locals otherwise take your time and dine in, either way you won't be disappointed.

My second time here in a few years & I really wanted some devil crabs but the vendor shut down. But my crinkle fries was very fresh hot & good they give you alot for a little over $3. I also ordered a catfish sandwich & it wasn't vig but very tasty & I really can't complain for $5 & some change. You order @ a window & the lady damn there comes all the way out the window to hand you your food. That was hilarious!

So we all got the same kind of chicken. Breast, wing, thigh. We all came to the consensus that the wing was the best piece of meat. It was top tier. The breast was a tad dry but thats to be expected. As for sides baked beans was lack luster but all the other sides we had were good. Potato salad, cole slaw, mashed potatoes all hit. Lastly for food the roll was dry no butter on it, not sweet just plain bread.Food came out fast and chicken was hot.The place gave a old dinner feel and it fit their branding.I will be returning

Maryland Fried chicken is the best chicken I've ever had in my life!!!! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child. I don't live here anymore, but every time I'm in the state or within driving distance, I drive out of my way if necessary just to have some chicken with mash potatoes and gravy. It's the most tasteful and juicy chicken you will ever get. The mash potatoes and gravy are also a must, but don't forget to ask for an extra cup of gravy so you can dip your roll and/or chicken in it. You can thank me later!! Bonus! Staff is always kind and friendly. You won't be sorry you came here.

Stopped in after visiting the strawberry festival and was a bit disappointed. The staff was super nice and we got the food quickly. The problem was the chicken was really soggy, so much so the bottom of the chicken breading was just soaked and not crispy :(The sides were pretty good though! Mash potatoes with gravy and baked beans were a safe choice but most likely will not go out of my way for this.

Definitely an old school place straight out of the late 1960's early 1970's my order took a little bit but to be fair I ordered a lot off the menu for 16 people . My personal favorite is the chicken sandwich no frills no bs just a piece of chicken on a bun and it was perfect . I just wish they add pickles but not here. lol French fries are definitely decent I always tell them very light on the salt and same with the chicken as they definitely do a great job with the food prep . I would definitely come here over KFC or Popeyes or raising Cains .

The chicken was fresh and hot. However, the gizzards were a little too soft. No seasoning being added. The shrimp dinner special was more like breaded shrimp versus butterfly shrimp.. baked beans were bland no so. Service was good and organized.
