Marker 8 On the Water

This is the westerly facing spot on the Gulf to watch the sunset. There was a lot of parking in front of the tiki hut. We found an outdoor table to watch the sunset. At 6:15 the bell rang & everyone enjoyed a complimentary Jell-O shot. There were lots of comfortable seating & friendly people. The sunset didn't disappoint.

This place could be so great . The view is incredible. But that is about it . The service is awful , So is the food . I have given this place several chances . Sorry but you need to step up your game .

The setting was beautiful. I like to find places on the water to eat. The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive and all the people working were very nice. We got the fish tacos, which were a little on the small side. They came with tortilla chips and it would have been nice to have some salsa to eat with them. We also ordered the pork nachos. I really enjoyed the queso cheese. I would have liked some sour cream on them. The pork tasted ok, much like a slow roasted pulled pork. The portion size was enough to share. The three star rating comes from the fact that they only serve canned coke at $2.50 a can and everything is served in plastic or styrofoam. When I ordered a soda, I wish I would have been told it was canned since I look forward to refills and fountain soda. It is also disappointing to have a place on the water that is not concerned about the environment. Each water cup refill was delivered in a new plastic cup along with food in styrofoam containers.

Had a great time with the family having a few drinks while enjoying a beautiful view of the Gulf! They had live music and they gave everyone a "sunset shot" which was super cool! The service from the bartender was awesome as well! Very nice and welcoming

Found this little hidden gem tucked off the main road on the way to downtown Dunedin. It is in a resort, so if I hadn't seen the sign out front I would have missed this great little spot! We decided to stop one night during our vacation, and it quickly became our favorite little tiki bar with a million dollar sunset view, and did I mention free shots and a sunset celebration when the sun hits the horizon? So fun! They have live music, appetizers and a great drink menu. It's the perfect way to end your beach day! If you are in the Palm Harbor, Dunedin, or Tarpon Springs area, head directly for Marker 8. It's the next best thing to watching the sunset on the beach!

Nice spot to meet up with friends/family on a (phew!!) cooler, breezy Thursday night. Nothing fancy, some reasonably good bar food, a good variety of beach-y drinks, attentive enough service... But you're not here for all that, really... Come for the VIEWS, stay for the tropical vibe!! Great intro to a fun, relaxing area!! Cheers!!

I am in Dunedin Florida visiting my great friends, and yesterday evening we went here to watch the amazing sunset and to have drinks and walk around the pier..the drinks were good and the owner walks around before the sunset giving everyone free sunset shots, it was fun and it was crowded and good live entertainment. We are definitely coming back.

Live music, great ambiance and spectacular views. Perfect way to cap off your week and start the weekend.

I have always enjoyed Marker Eight.have had many friends and family occasions at this location.My disappointment occurred when we stopped recently for diner.My wife ordered nachos and when the meal arrived she did not get any salsa. She was surprised they did not provide salsa. She asked for a serving to go with her Nachos. I ordered wings and asked for extra Blu cheese dressing.After the Meal, which was very good. excellent meal. The only disappointment was the bill. We were charged $3.00 for a small cup of salsa and $3.00 for a small cup of Blu cheese dressing. I asked the server why we were charged for Salsa, for the nacho. He said it was company policy. I told him I was disappointed they didn't provide salsa with nachos at no charge.He said the salsa and blu cheese were additional cost. I told him if he had made me aware of the additional charge and the cost of $3.00 per container, I never would have ordered them.The server never apolofixed, nor offer co correct the issu. The only thing the thing that he stated was "it's is company policy".my problem is they never made us aware there was an addition charge for these items.I felt very taken advantage of my decision to stop at Marker Eight.I stop at the location often. My family stops often.I will find another place to eat. One that values my business.$3.00 for a small serving of condiment.WOW!

I'm a local and regularly order the Tarpon Rooster to go, it's really hard to beat. Have a drink and watch the sunset while you wait. It's also one of 2 waterfront and boat accessible restaurants in Dunedin. It's a great pit stop for a day on the water.
