It took awhile to get to this place but glad I did. I can see why people flock here and enjoy the one and only one sub. There is only seating outside. Only a counter inside with enough room for a few customers. There is 1 sub! I believe you can make changes to that one sub but I didn't ask. Simple but good. There is one person working so be prepared to wait if there is a line. Best bet is to order by phone and pick it up.

Lot of sub for the price. Staff has no people skills but that is ok. The bread was good. I liked that it was served hot. The meat was good. The veggies were good. They only serve one type of sub. If I went back to the Manatee Viewing station I would probably go back to try again.

Divey, LARGE quantity, ONE SUB, HOMESTYLE, FASTOkay, quick experience: it was my turn to come in and i told them i was a new customer and they explained their product. I ordered easy at this clean small establishment and waited outside. Made sure to tip because they were busy but so sweet. THE FOOD: thick ham juicy veggies and crispy bread. Tastes fresh but not a big fan of the meat but got used to its flavor and MUNCHED. Thank you very much for such a large arms length sandwich for $11. TO END IT: this is like a shop you order over the phone and drive over to pick up or stop by for a quick bite. Healthier one style sub restaurant. Very interesting.

Nice. Just visiting the area. Discovered this place by lucky chance. In business for 57 years, they make one type of sub (toasted Italian) all the way. You can subtract toppings if you want. It was simply great! Order inside a small shop. Two picnic tables to eat on outside, best for quick lunch, eat in car or a call in/pick up. Would absolutely stop here again.

So, this is not really what I would consider a sub shop, because they only make one sub...which I didn't like at all. My hubs thought it was fine, but the staff was pretty darn rude, and it's a small place so you aren't actually allowed in when other people are in there...and again, it's not pleasant when you don't know bc the staff is rude. Even with a fairly cheap sub, it's not worth going back.

Marian's Sub Shop was a unique experience at a local business that has been open for more than 50 years selling only 1 type of sub. This place was hyped up as an amazing sandwich but we found it just ok.Marian's Sub Shop is located down in Ruskin, at the corner of 41 and College Ave. It's connected to a taco shop. It looks a little rundown on the outside but that shouldn't put you off from trying this place out.We walked in to place our order. We were greeted by the friendly staff and they asked if we had even been before. Since we said no, we were given the rundown. Their one and only sandwich was described to us. We were told it would take about 15-20 minutes since we did not order ahead. We placed our order for two large sandwiches and did not make any changes. We ordered them as intended to enjoy. The sandwich says it has salami, ham and provolone cheese, baked in the oven and then topped with lettuce, hot peppers, onions, pickles, tomatoes, oregano and oil.My wife and I got our sandwiches and dug in. We split one and saved the other for another meal. As we ate them, we were confused. Either the meat was different that we are used to or it wasn't what it said it was? The meat seemed to us to be mostly bologna. The salami was a lighter, milder variety. The ham did not stand out. The spice of the hot peppers and the salt of the bologna was most of what we tasted. The sandwich was a good size for the price. It had flavor, spice and it was filling. This just didn't seem to be a go-to sub for us.As we sat and waited and as we continued to eat, people kept showing up. The place was booming and there seems to be a love for this place in Ruskin.Just because this sandwich didn't hit the spot for us, doesn't mean it isn't good. Just our preference. I'd suggest you check out this locally owned, unique sub shop and see for yourself. The staff is friendly and welcoming and it's pretty cool to see a place with only one thing on the menu.

Just okay. I expected more than a glorified bologna sandwich more from a place that has sold the same sandwich for half a century. As others have said, staff was kind of rude. I'd go back if I was in the area and nothing else was open. Sandwich was a 3. Service dropped them to a 2
