Pernil with white rice is always delicious. In background my wife had chicken stew with yellow rice and maduros. All great!

Wooow, what a perfection of food! Me and my husband went there, and we came back again! The chef is so sweet and I loved speaking with him. The service was over the top, and the ambient is so nice and adorable! Highly recommend and I wish it was near home and not 1h away!

Best dominican food in the area. We had the chicken stew(perfect texture and very flavorful)with yellow rice and red beans(best beans I've had in tampa)... So delicious. Pernil(tons of flavor, juicy) with white rice and red beans was great. The staff was so welcoming and represented Dominican culture well. Happy we walked in before the rush(line out the door). The best part, cant beat the pricing for the quantity/quality of food. Definitely be back to try a dessert.

Eat here! We just stopped by for lunch and we are so happy we did. We had chicken ( it tastes like heaven), pork, potatoes, mashed plantains, and rice and beans. It sounds like a lot because it is. Everything was delicious and the folks who run it are outstanding and so friendly. They made us feel right at home. The cafe has a really fun island vibe. Love this place!

The food is delicious. The workers are very sweet. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is that I ordered the oxtail special and was charged more than what the price was indicated on their board. There's also no menu to look at the food choices or prices, just the chalkboard with the specials when you walk in. Other than that, I would go again. You get a lot of food.

My husband and I just had lunch at Mangu Express and I'm glad we finally made it there. The owner, Robinson is a great person and makes you feel welcome. His cooking is amazing and the flavors definitely taste like home cooking. Everything was delicious! And I was able to get a slice of SUGARITA's Dominican cake! We will definitely beback soon!

Some of the best Latin American food I've ever had. In sea of crummy chain restaurants, this is a real gem. The people there are so nice and will let you try things to decide what you want. The beans and veggies are vegetarian but they also have oxtail and incredible chicken. Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding & the vibe was just as great. The service was by far the best I've ever experienced in a Latin restaurant...and I've been to many. It's a la carte...so maybe developing a menu with prices is challenging, but the cost was fair. A large breakfast was about $10; which is still cheaper than First Watch. Totally worth every penny. You like Caribbean food....Run!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The building had roaches and there was a roach in the pulled pork it was absolutely disgusting, I didn't even purchase anything to eat.
