Mama G's St.Pete

I was looking for a quick place to get some lunch and this worked out great. Food was good and prices were nice.

Not sure how this place is so highly regarded. I ordered a plain croissant (always my go to when I visit a new bakery), and it was awful. Over cooked, not soft and fluffy on the inside, and the size was rather disappointing. Definitely won't be returning here. If you want to try a real croissant and delicious bakery, head to cocoaddiction instead. My fav in st Pete

Great coffee and pastries off Central Ave. on way to Treasure Island. European vibes with great espressos and macchiato. German pastries are excellent.

Heard great things about this place and had to check it out. I ordered the Jägerschnitzel for $10.50. It is a thinly-pounded, crispy breaded pork cutlet topped with rich mushroom gravy, served with spätzle. Incredible! Not overly salty. It was freshly made and flavorful.I ordered the Poppyseed cake as well. This was not my favorite unfortunately. Would definitely come back for the lunch specials!

I've been wanting to try a German bakery forever and happily stumbled upon Mama G's. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a bit hot in there, but it's a smaller stand alone with constant cooking:baking, so it makes sense. The cashier was super patient with me as my first time and had all the questions. Shout out to her! Relaxed atmosphere. I opted for the Cuban pastry and the pastry portion was delicious, I cannot wait to go back to get a proper pastry. I won't order the Cuban part again - it didn't mix like I assumed. But the pastry bread is dreamy.

This place is FABULOUS! The Jaeger Schnitzel and spaetzle were delicious. The coffee was wonderful. The Bee Sting cake was divine (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! ) The only downfall was that the place is so packed that the tiny cafe could barely fit us without some maneuvering. Thank goodness there were some nice patrons willing to move around to help accommodate. It's a family run business and you can tell with their friendly customer service and homemade German dishes. They close at 2pm, so make sure you go early!

​Hi to the staff at MaMa G's, I wanted to let you know myself and others who eaten your food from MaMa G's Bakery are just out of this world, delicious.Everytime I walk into MaMa G's Bakery reminds me of Europe after out of the military service and lived in 3 different countries, Holland, Nederlands, UK, England and Sweden. I traveled around Europe, family friends in Munich and Hanover Germany. When I walked in a bakery shop here MaMa G's, it is and it is like walking in.a different dimension from one minute to another before walking into MaMa G's Lol! It's a cute little cafe/bakery in Kenneth City. The staff is super friendly and quick to service.I had a ham and cheese croissant, a cheese veggie and egg pastry, and a vanilla latte. The bread is baked fresh daily and you can taste it. They have a whole assortment of flavors you can add to your drink but are not listed so you need to ask.The place is very warm and inviting which is probably why so many people just hung out there for a long while. People just hanging out there is kind of my only issue with this place. For how popular this place seems, there is very limited seating despite have room for more tables and chairs.They do sell loaves of bread and if I'm in the area again I'll probably give them a try.

Good Bakery, Comfortable SettingSo many good bakeries have good food but no place to sit and enjoy. Mama G's has comfortable tables and a nice atmosphere. Staff members were very nice. The latte I had was huge and I should have gotten it with an extra shot for a richer flavor and extra boost. The almond croissant was more like puff pastry than a typical croissant, so it didn't get soggy as is often the case. I'll be back!

Wow! I've been meaning to pop in for a long time. I finally stopped in today. Boy, am I glad I did! The environment is so warm and welcoming!It is extremely clean!Just a cozy, inviting place! Having never been there before I had to ask some questions and the young lady behind the counter was very helpful. We purchased the sandwich rye. It is such a large loaf of delicious bread for the price. I will definitely go back. Next time for lunch!
