Mama Dilo's Deli

Decided to try this new place , specially because said on other reviews that is a mom and pop place, place is small but with plenty seating, the sandwiches are really good , really good deli , the only thing is the cashiers attitude to rush you to order , since was first time I'm trying to look at menu to see the choices and I wasn't holding a line , so she give you the evil look to order fast , other than that she was very polite and food came out fast

like alllll the other reviews that hallets hot sandwich is too die for! really a terrific lunch spot!! i would come back in a second. so fresh so delicious, the bread here is so fresh! like taking a step back in time the decor and tables very 1950s. don't miss this.

Was not expecting it to be so mediocre. The bread was stale, meat was subpar, and cheese had no flavor. Extremely disappointed in both the food and establishment itself. Now I know why at noon it was so empty. We were literally the only patrons.

Best sandwich shop around!! I have been eating here for at least 25 years and it's delicious every time. The owners know the regulars by name and their sandwich order. This is one of my favorite local spots! The Hallett's Hot Lunch is the best!! The homemade dressing and Italian salad makes this a winner!! Highly recommend!!

Best sandwiches ever! Not just the best sandwiches in town, the best sandwiches I've ever had, period! Get the Hallett's Hot Lunch, you won't be disappointed! Italian salad on top plus super fresh and amazing bread seals the deal!

Always excellent! Definitely recommend Halliet's Hot lunch sandwich although the Hollywood is good too. The Italian Salad on the sandwiches is absolutely delicious. Friendly people and dang good sandwiches will keep people coming back for years. I actually remember going as a kid and 40 years later I'm hooked again. Warning though.... small equals large and large equals sharing size. LOL

If I could give this place 0 Stars I would. When you walk in, it's obvious, the place isn't clean. One look at the deli case where they keep their meats and cheeses should be enough to chase most people out of here. But, I was stupid and I ordered anyway. Ordered in Italian sub. Probably the worst one I've ever had in my life. Who in the heck puts bologna on an Italian sub? Apparently they do. I took two bites, threw the rest away, and I will never be back.

Talk about mouth-watering. slurp. slurp. Order the Hallett and sit back and wait. Hot turkey and roast beef, smoked gouda, smothered with Italian salad and a hint of their special Thousand Island on a melt-in-your-mouth toasted bun. Small is huge for 6.50 or large is huger at 7.50. Originally owned by Mama DiLorenzo, who raised six kids, now owned by one of the kids. Am sure the other sandwiches are as delicious. The Hollywood is also talked about. They cook their own roast beef. Divey looking on the outside, but once inside, you'll be hooked. Sometimes they have fresh baked cookies for purchase on the counter. Seems like your own mom--looking after you. They make their own Italian meatballs and related dinners as well as sandwiches. If you need to die and go to heaven for just a little bit, stop here!5/20/11. I ordered Vicki's Delight, a four cheese hot sub with Italian salad. The small was $7.75. It melted in my mouth. I want to try Drummer's Delight next. The clerk was recommending the meatball sub but I'm enjoying the sliced meats and cheeses. Both Pepsi & Coke products, heavy on the ice when served. Cookies sold out! Darn

Been buying sandwiches from mama dilos for 20 years! Always on point. Bread is spectacular and the italian salad they put on sandwiches make them unique to anything else around. If you want the best sandwich ever order a large Italian hero with light mayo and cherry peppers you'll be back just like me.

This is my second visit, I love mom and pop vs. chain. I normally order and wait but today I called ahead. I ordered a steak sandwich, the meat is so tough I can barely chew it!!! I had ordered the salad on it but it was missing. My biggest concern is a major health code violation. I ordered cookies. When I went in, a to go box of cookies was sitting out on the counter, exposed to everything and the front door of the place was propped open. The cookies I ordered were thrown in the bag without a bag, box etc. It was touching the to go bag and a stack of napkins. There's no way I can eat this $11 dollar sandwich and the cookies went directly in the trash. With all the recent salmonella outbreaks and such who wants to take a risk? Incredibly disappointed.
