Maloney's Local Irish Pub

While visiting Tampa I was staying less than 500 feet from Maloney's Irish Pub so it was the first place I visited for drinks and dinner. In addition to a full bar they have a very decent selection and variety of beers; including my favorite Smithwick's. The bartender was excellent keeping my drink filled and carrying on lively conversation with myself and the other patrons. When it comes to the food I didn't really see any traditional Irish dishes on the menu that I like to see in an Irish pub, like a traditional Irish breakfast. I did have a Reuben sandwich which was one of the best I've had; so I can forgive them for this. The next day I went back and found out quickly that Maloney's was an Ohio State bar. The place was packed with buckeyes partying down and celebrating OSU's win.

If you are headed out on a cruise and staying at the Hampton Inn or Home2Suites, this place is just across the street. Really good food and fun atmosphere. We had ok service. A little slow considering they weren't very busy. The homeless guy that peed in the bushes nearby was a deterrent, but we thought prices were fair and food was tasty. Honestly, we would eat here again.

The food was ok. It's your typical freezer to fryer type food. The waitress was very pleasant. It is a sports bar type place. When we were there it was full of soccer fans.

I popped in here to kill some time while waiting on a train and it was a great stop. Jessica immediately came over and rattled off all the specials and took my order. If you're an Ohio State or Tampa Bucs fan, this probably is your ideal bar. It had the ambiance of a fun sports bar meets Irish and bar food. The food pricing is also pretty fair as well. I ordered a small order of wings and they were prepared fresh and quickly. I had Cajun rub mixed with mild and the mild didn't really have enough kick for me. However it went perfect with the draft beer. If I lived in Tampa, this would probably be a regular bar for me.

Great spot for Football Sunday! We ordered the zucchini fries as a trio and each of us got wings. I got 5 dry rub, a mix of flats + drumsticks and loved them. They weren't super greasy and I enjoyed the seasoning. I tried my friends fries and thought they were fine. I didn't like the zucchini fries, but I don't love most fried food anyways. Both of my friends enjoyed their boneless wings a lot too. Our server was friendly. Would definitely return!

Jessica S was one of the best servers we have had! It was packed for the OSU football game but you would have never known by her service! Jessica was friendly, attentive and just went above and beyond with everything! This was our first time here and certainly not our last

I missed to take pictures unfortunately- but this place is really worth to visit!Shepherds pie is great and so is their Caesar side salad!!!Just here for one night and this happened to be near the hotel - next time I'll be back !

Decided to pop in on a Wednesday for lunch thinking it would be slow, and the bar was crowded. Fun, relaxed pub vibe. They run daily food specials and good portions. Both the Burger (Wed Special) and Grilled Grouper Wrap were delicious and made fresh. Huge TVs so great place to grab food and watch the games.

A lot had changed for us at Maloneys mostly the portions and taste of some of there food items.We had a party of kids and 4 adults So the first thing we usually do is take care of the kids with grilled cheesesand with that out the way the adult ordered wings or appetizers I personally got the cauliflower which to my shock it only came with 5 medium small pieces which for $8 for 5 pieces is pricey! We also got the zucchini fries which actually came with a bunch but also some burnt up fried pickles got into the mix not just with the zucchini but with also the 2 orders of boneless wings we found 7 burnt fried pickle overall in our food. To me it wasn't a big deal I understand it happens but my husband hates pickles and very sensitive to them. The kids grilled cheeses... burnt and also had a garlic flavoring on them for not sure what reason, it doesn't say it on the menu that it's garlic bread it's usually just buttered so neither sandwich was eaten. Honestly this was the worst visit by far which hurt because their food is usually great! I love the wings and burger and cauliflower but I'm not sure if owners have changed or if they have new people working but this took a toll on if I would come back.
