Definitely agree with the advertising of best breakfast. I make the effort to try french toast (reg, stuffed or bananas foster) wherever I can find it; and have all the country. This was the best bananas foster french toast I have ever had. Hubby had steak and egg wrap and loved that too.Really hope to come back tomorrow before we leave, if not we will be back in the future!

We visited Maggie Mae's Sunrise Cafe after a day at the beach, hoping for a nice meal to end the day. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but welcoming. The entire strip was without water, which I'm sure had affected business, but that's no excuse for how we were treated.One of the five of us didn't have a shirt due to being caught in the rain, so we asked the staff if it would be okay to sit on the outside deck. Two employees kindly said yes. As we were being walked through to the deck, a man who seemed to be the manager or owner rudely interrupted, saying, "No shirt, get out." We politely explained we were going to sit outside, but he repeated, "No shirt, get out," and then proceeded to get on the phone, completely dismissing us.The waitress seemed mortified, and we assured her it was no problem. Instead of handling the situation with any bit of grace--like suggesting we visit the nearby gift shop for a quick solution--the manager chose to be unnecessarily rude. We ended up buying a shirt at a gift shop and went to Shorty's Deli instead, where we were welcomed warmly and had a fantastic meal.First impressions matter, and unfortunately, Maggie Mae's failed in that regard. We will not be returning.

The service here is outstanding! I loved my server, she was so kind and attentive. The views of the water are pleasant. I ordered a protein egg white wrap and iced coffee and it was delicious.

This is the best breakfast I've ever had. I keep coming back for more every time. We've had great service (thank you Crystal!!) delicious food, and the views are fantastic. Make sure you're ready to eat because the portions are plentiful and the options are many. You can come here every day for a month and not have the same dish. But you'll definitely want to - especially the biscuits. These fluffy wonders are baked fresh daily, then steamed and toasted before your order so that they arrive piping hot to your tables!!!

We came down to Sand Key for a week vacation. We tried Maggie Mae's on the third morning and I was so upset we didn't come earlier. Maggie Mae's has the BEST pancakes I've ever had in my life. I got it every day for the rest of my vacation. My husband tried a wide variety of things and everything was delicious. Not only was the food amazing, the service/staff were so nice. They remembered us every day and were so welcoming. The view of the water is wonderful, we saw several dolphins off the coast during our visit. Highly recommend to everyone in the Clearwater/Sand Key area.

We stopped in for breakfast around 8:30, and we were seated quickly, and the service was wonderful. We asked to sit outside, on the waterfront and it was so pleasant. The food was even better. I had the bacon egg and cheese on sourdough toast and it was delightful. My partner had the corned beef hash and said it was the best he has ever had. The corned beef is baked in house and is very popular on the menu. Great spot for breakfast/brunch!

When we first pulled up to the restaurant, there was a small wait. The entrance is very small but they were very accommodating and kind! We waited for about 10-15 minutes before being seated. Crystal was our server and she was amazing! She was quick and so nice. My family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) split all of this and we all left full. We even talked about how we would come again while visiting!Update: we went back the next day and sat outside near the water. The food and service was just as good as the first time. Sitting outside was so nice and peaceful!

My family was in town last week 01/27-02/03 for part vacation, part work. We stumbled upon Maggie Mae's on our last morning (Sunday 02/02) in Clearwater.What a fantastic breakfast place, with great food, and ambience, as we sat outside on the deck to enjoy the view & weather.Maggie Mae's has another remarkable quality, and that was our outstanding waitress named Crystal. She was so friendly, attentive to our daughter who has special needs, and was prompt with anything & everything we needed. What a truly hidden gem you have in Crystal. Our daughter Audrey says hi.

Absolutely delicious ! Amazing service and great atmosphere! Will definitely be back!!
