Finally made it to Mad Dogs & Englishmen for brunch, and WOW it did not disappoint! The space is super inviting with multiple seating options, including dining tables, high-tops, a garden, a patio, and a bar. There's also a first-come, first-serve area near the big TVs, which is a nice touch.Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was excellent! They offer a dedicated brunch menu on weekends, but you can also order from the all-day menu. Must-try items: the sausage roll (my favorite appetizer) and the whipped feta were so flavorful! My only small gripe is that it came with just four pieces of naan, so we had to order extra. Will definitely come back! What I ordered:- Whipped Feta: warm chili honey, toasted pecan, garlic naan- Sausage Roll: spiced pork sausage, puff pastry, curry dijonnaise - Fish & Chips: icelandic cod, lemon, house tartar sauce - Steak Sandwich: shaved sirloin, caramelized shallot, creamy horseradish, pub roll - Apple Crumble

Stunning decor. This place is an absolute upgrade from the previous location. Sadly the service was very mediocre. I recognize that we came for a late lunch (after 1p on Valentine's Day) but we received very little consistent attention from our server. As far as the menu, the food is good but nowhere near worth the price. Presently they're charging near $20+ per entree with $10-$12 portions. Main issue for me was that their pub club ($20!) sandwich used American cheese with zero options for a substitute. They nailed the ambience. The food is serviceable, but everything is currently overpriced. Either prices need to come down or the quality needs to meet the value.

The new Mad Dogs and Englishmen takes the best aspects of the original location and makes it even better. The food was delicious. We started with the Caesar salad, which was super tasty. For the main entree, we had the fish and chips and they were awesome. Love the wine list. And the apple dessert was amazing!Service was good but its obvious they are still ironing out the kinks, which is to be expected especially considering how busy the restaurant is.The space is indoor and outdoor space is beautiful and totally has a strong Oxford Exchange influence in terms of the decor.Reservations are a must! Definitely check it out.

Very popular place! Great local neighborhood restaurant/ bar. I live right by their new location and finally got a chance to visit for lunch on Monday and it was still packed! Service was great, seated right awake and got our order in and food shortly after. Decent amount of vegetarian options which is great! But the stand out is definitely the decor and vibe! It is just so classic and elegant with different seating options, indoors and outdoors. Loved the Aubergine buccatini pasta, and the whipped feta! Definitely coming back for a ladies night!

The new location is beautiful--really well done! The parking lot looked intimidatingly full but had some spots open on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived quite early for our reservation (reservations recommended) and were seated shortly after. There are several rooms with a different ambiance--we ended up in the quaint fireplace room in the heart. Our server Hugo was so sweet. The whipped feta dip small plate was good but really small... then we got charged $3 extra for pita when there wasn't enough to even finish the dip! The steak sandwich was large and tasty. The fries were a unique shape but not my favorite (I am picky about fries). The beer selection isn't huge but does have the traditional choices. The beer & food took a while to come out but the restaurant was busy and the atmosphere is enjoyable so no need to be in a rush.

Decided to take my British mother-in-law to Mad Dogs & Englishmen and got the stamp of approval! Firstly, the place is gorgeous! Such great decor and ambiance, very cutesy! We didn't have any issues parking but the lot is small and packed! Moving on to the food, we got the sausage roll as an appetizer, fish and chips and steak and chips for entrees, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything we got was delicious, but the sausage roll and the djonaisse sauce it was in was incredible! So simple, but so good! The service was just okay, but that's to be expected with a place just re-opening up.

I reallly don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but I did not have a nice experience. I gave 2 stars because the new building is beautiful! However we went for lunch today and my bangers and mash came out cold, like the plate was burning hot and the food was not even warm (took 30 minutes to get our food). So they took it back and unfortunately it took over 25 minutes for a new one to come out and I needed to leave at that point as I had already been there for an hour on my lunch break so I immediately boxed it up to go and didn't even get to eat. My friend's drinks also were never refilled and we just felt kind of neglected over all. So for an hour lunch I had a Diet Coke and then paid full price plus tip for a meal that is now sitting in the fridge to have later not fresh. Disappointed but hoping they work out the kinks.

Came here on opening day! The new restaurant is gorgeous and service was really good. As a starter I had the tuna tartare, for my entre I had the shepherd's pie and my husband ordered the fish and chips. Everything came out delicious and fresh. For dessert we ordered the apple crumble with added ice cream. Can't wait to go back.

They just opened this new location, really nice inside. Definitely make a reservation. The bar area was packed and if you are sitting near the bar, it's definitely loud because of how open it is. Food was great and I thought the fish and chips were the best I have had.

I was sad when the original place closed down so I'm happy to see that it's back. I guess it was bought out by the same owners of Oxford exchange. The interior is well decorated, the food was good but a way too pricey for a pub and for what you get, but service was great. The only reason why I won't give this place 5 stars is because you can tell that they are trying to be English and going a little too hard in the "English esthetic". It's clear that no one running the place is actually English themselves but it's still a neat place.
