Luke's Sports Shack Bar & Grill

My fam was looking for a a place to eat and I wanted to see the World Series and this was after my son's volleyball game at Largo high. We stumble on Luke's, which is one of my boys name. Lots of TV's that you can see from the street. Made a U turn and glad I did. The parking lot needs work, so be careful not to twist an ankle, especially after a few drinks servers were attentive, tables, silverware, and glasses were clean. Does it look like it needs work from the outside, a little. But trust me give a chance, I've been to nice places and service is awful and food is just ok for the price. Back to Luke's review, the server was the nicest as she could be and genuine. She was on top of the drink order, refills, suggestions, changed the channel so I could see the World Series, brought plates out with silverware. My Cuban sandwich was on point, pizza for the kids were good. And the price was just right. Thank you again! We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!

Waitress was fine but she was absolutely overwhelmed....She was the only one on duty handling the entire eating area inside and the outside area as well....I think it took well past 45 minutes to get my food...Maybe closer to an hour?? When I got my burger I asked for a side of BBQ sauce...I was half way ththrough my burger before she came back...I was also in there and it was Thursday night football....The bar and eating area really wasn't all that crowded....Maybe 6 ot 7 tables going inside...Well I decided to sit at a table along the wall of TVs....That was a big mistake ! One of the workers decided to turn the volume on the TV where I was sitting up to full blast ! I never even knew a TV could be so loud ! I have no idea why it needed to be that loud but I couldn't even hear myself think...The burger itself was ok...Seemed like handmade...The potato salad left a strange taste (liquid smoke maybe?) in my mouth/breath for the rest of the night...Overall, it was a miserable experience that I don't care to have again.

A group of us went out on a bicycling journey, & lunch time hit. Someone suggested we divert to Luke's. I'm always game to try a new place, & this was a winner. We cycled up to the outdoor covered porch part of the restaurant, & seated ourselves. A personable waitress came out & soon our meals arrived. I ordered a Sweet Chili Burger with potato salad. My only complaint was I ordered the burger medium well, but the burger arrived very much undercooked with lots of red in it. I debated saying something, but I was so hungry I went for it. The burger was absolutely delicious. The beef had to be at least 1/3 pound. The sauce & onions were a fantastic combo as a topping. The potato salad seemed homemade & was much better than store-bought. I'd return again for a burger in the future. And when I do, I'll try again to get it cooked medium well.

UPDATE: MY HUSBAND EXPLAINED TO ME OUR TIPPING MISTAKE. NOW I UNDERSTAND THAT (and this is my original understanding) BOTH BILLS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TIPPED APPROPRIATELY. I TIPPED 20% OUT OF HABIT. MY GF TIPPED 10% OUT OF MISUNDERSTANDING. ALTOGETHER WE TIPPED 15%. WITH THE STAFF AND BARTENDER SUCKING, I believe she got what she deserved!!!!My gf and I split the bill. I tipped 20% on my portion and my friend tipped 10% on hers. Not that the food was any better than any other bar food. The red headed bartender said to my friend while I was in the ladies "I guess my service wasn't that good?" I came out and said "what's up?" My friend explained, and I took the extra $3 dollars I just laid down back into my purse. Now this place was not busy, the waitress wasn't really doing anything and we were sitting at the bar, the bartender never asked us if we needed anything. I had to ask for a lemon for my vodka tonic I had to ask for ranch for my onion rings.She had the audacity to ask if her service wasn't exemplary?! I'm not sure, but usually the before hand mentioned comes first before a 40% tipNot sure why she expected more?In mine and my gf's eyes when you split the check you're still getting 20% if both parties tip 10 but I tipped 20 and my girlfriend tipped 10 so she actually got 30% A bartender wearing tight sweatpants and a half cut off T-shirt in a sports bar on the Fourth of July must not have really wanted any tips for her to actually even say that out loud she didn't deserve any tip. If my husband was with us, she would have gotten Jack diddly squat .

Cute and small but big enough for a great night of listening to a band. Their cheeseburger is one of the best I've had in a long time. The new owner is very cool and takes care of his staff. Love this bar!

Excellent service and good. We went for trivia, starts at 7:00 on Tuesdays. Had a burger and it was delicious. Lyn at the bar is a total delight.

Great place. Went there tonight on New Year's Eve. Great wings, burgers and sandwiches. TVs everywhere so we could watch the game. Owner came out to check on us to make sure everything was okay which I appreciate. If I didn't live in Georgia, I'd be back for sure.

Stopped in for late dinner and they did not disappoint! My husband had the mile high burger and it was the largest hamburger he ever had! Prices are reasonable, which, in this day in age is rare. Not a fancy place, but good service, good food and drinks. Give it a try!!

Draft beer doesn't work. Smells weird as soon as you walk in. The regulars make you feel unwelcome. Seemed dirty and in disrepair.
