This was my first time ever eating lobster, since at the time I was with a companion who loved eating lobster...LLC did not disappoint whatsoever! The staff were incredibly friendly to us upon arrival, and the setting is definitely outdoorsy with a beautiful backdrop near the Pinellas Trail, which gives it a very homey vibe. The eating area is clean, and everything in the menu is well detailed. Now, onto the food I ate! In spite of its price, I must admit, I found myself impressed with what I ate.So, we started off with the calamari; This place clearly has fresh cuts, because I noticed that not only was it flavorful, but the calamari practically melted in my mouth while still having that fantastic crunch. Most places tend to have rubbery calamari with a questionable texture, so LLC gets major points in my book for surpassing other seafood joints with their calamari! The octopus was chewy and savory. If you know me, you know I know good octopus when I taste it. The sauce that was served with it perfectly complimented the savory. Not much to say about this one, but that's by no means a bad thing in this case. The real winner is the main course that I had; the Lucky Lobster Linguini. Aside from being one giant plethora of seafood, the sauce was flavorful without being too overwhelming, and the seafood was properly cooked and seasoned, complimented by the garlic bread that you see there (which I assume is a staple of any seafood dish in most place). I cannot begin to describe how fantastic it was.The only thing I didn't get to try was their desserts, which was a pity, but I will also mention this place serves mocktail variations of some of their drinks. Any place that's willing to be that accommodating earns them major points in my book.Overall, this is one of the best seafood restaurant experiences I've had in Dunedin, and I am genuinely amazed at how a humble little area like this has some of the best seafood around there. I highly recommend you come here, whether you're solo or with a party!

I've never visited here but my parents had been multiple times and suggested it as a dinner option. Arrival & first impressions, the outdoor covered patio area is super adorably decorated for Christmas during December. It was cold but they had fires going and ended up closing the open end of the room so it warmed up nicely then. The food here was decent. I ordered the lobster BLT sliders which was a new concept for me. They had a great amount of tasty fresh lobster in them and the fries with them were pretty good as well, if a little soggier than I prefer. Mom had the lobster mac & cheese which I tried. Good portion and super creamy - I think her entree was the best of the ones we ordered. Husband got the fish & chips which was sadly overcooked in spots. Dad got a pepperoni pizza which was unfortunately the opposite, undercooked in spots. Some knocks are that the bread service advertised on the menu isn't free anymore - it's $3.99 now. Need to update the menus as the implication is that it's complimentary. Also we wanted to get lava cake for dessert for my mom's birthday & they were out of it unfortunately.

Great service (Camilla). Live music was great and not too loud. Drinks took a little while but it was Friday night sooo.. Lobster/shrimp quesadillas were OK. We finished up at 9:30 and most patrons were out by then and band wrapped up.

Went right after New Years Day afternoon so it was not crowded at all. Angie, the bartender waited on our table (family of 6) and was extremely nice and efficient. Food wasn't too bad. Going to Lucky Lobster you need of course to order some sort of Lobster dish, we had bisque, lobster roll and lobster quesadilla. Lobster was kind of dry and not too moist. The bisque was just ok with really not much lobster in it. If it's not too crowded will be a nice place to spend an afternoon lunch. If crowded, could be a bit noisy.

Fresh seafood in a warm and friendly environment. The Ahi Tuna dinner was excellent. The restaurant had live music that added to the atmosphere. The service was good. Our only complaint was the overall noise.

Great atmosphere, outstanding service and excellent food. Located close to the Dunedin downtown area and easy walk from the marina. What more can you ask for!! With a name like Lucky Lobster you think of sea-food and the menu supports this! We've tried a number of the appetizers and main entree's and have always been pleased. Several members of my family love the Lobster Roll, while mine is a cup of chowder followed with blackened, Grouper. In fact my daughter liked this place so much she requested that this be the location to have her after wedding, dinner party at. Once again, the service was outstanding and "everyone" enjoyed their meals. It was a perfect ending of a perfect day. Thank you Lucky Lobster!!! We will certainly be back as the Lucky Lobster is one of our go to places when my wife and I are in the Dunedin area or have out of town guest visiting us.

Four of us descended on Lucky Lobster (LL) for dinner. The atmosphere as we sat outside was definitely fun with some live music. Our waiter was very good & the service was excellent. So up to this point, LL is worthy of 5 stars. The meal though was highly overpriced & average. I ordered fish & chips for $21. The piece of fish was not big at all, & the coating & crust were dullsville. It came with a handful of slightly soggy fries. I was actually still hungry & felt a little ripped off. The others in my group expressed similar observations with their food. LL is a nice place & it has a good vibe. But it's hard to ever think of coming back when the food just didn't wow anyone

The staff, live music and atmosphere is very nice, but the food is mediocre. Very disappointed, drove pretty far to eat here. We got the fish tacos which were just okay, nothing special, pretty bland. Just two tacos no fry's or sides. ($22) The lobster roll was $45 and served on a hotdog sized bun. With a handful of fries. Fried shrimp was good but hard to mess up fried shrimp. In total after tip 20% it was about $175 for 5 people. Go else were for sea food.
