THE MOST SLEPT ON BBQ SPOT IN LAKELAND!!! YALL NEEDS TO TRY THIS!! I mean it's my second time here, brought the rest of the family and truthfully... my dad said this was the BEST BBQ he's ever had... and we love our bbq. Brisket... cooked to perfection. Ribs.... OOOOOOOOOOOF SEASONED TO PERFECT YALLL I CAB PASS OUT JUST THINKING ABOUT THESE RIBS... wings... BUSSIN! Service QUICK and great! Food came out QUICK! I mean just walking up to the building makes you start drooling because of the smoked smell from the smoker outside! 100000/10 recommend this spot, we got some coupons to share with our church to GET THE WORD OUT... We were on the hunt for some classic, local country BBQ, and our experience didn't disappoint. Our bartender was fantastic, always making sure our glasses never dropped below a quarter full. We went for the Texas Sampler, which came with two sides, but we couldn't resist adding an extra one--after all, we were craving some good old-fashioned BBQ! We chose baked beans, mac 'n cheese, and potato salad. While the baked beans and mac 'n cheese were spot on, the potato salad fell short, tasting more like cold mashed potatoes than the tangy, flavorful side we had hoped for. As for the meats--the brisket, chicken, sausage, and pulled pork--they were simply outstanding. Each had a rich, smoky flavor that was perfectly balanced, making every bite a true BBQ delight. The sampler is generously portioned, definitely enough to share, and we'll absolutely be ordering it again next time the BBQ craving hits (just without the potato salad).

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends after spending the morning hiking at the Circle B Bar reserve. We chose to sit on the patio because it was a beautiful day. Our waitress was super helpful and very friendly and attentive. The food was INCREDIBLE! I had the ribs...they were probably some of the best ribs I have had in my life...tender, juicy, flavorful and falling off the bone! The sides and other entrees ordered by the rest of my party were also fantastic! The only criticism I have is their "regular" BBQ sauce is super runny (I'm guessing it is a vinegar base). It wasn't good. Same with the "spicy" sauce. The peach BBQ sauce was delicious but only came in a tiny little cup. The peach BBQ sauce was very good,; it just needs to be made available on the table rather than having to request little cups of it. I'd definitely go back!

Food was phenomenal. Fresh buffet- good variety of meats and sides. The fried chicken, brisket, and ribs were amazing! Loved the cabbage, Mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes. Hush puppies were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Peach cobbler was a bit tart, but still good. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambience is great, comfy booths, not crowded, no waiting to be seated.

Mediocre BBQ spot with outdoor and indoor seating.Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3Cost to worth it rating: 3 Opentableable: no Return worthiness: probably notHighlights:- Outdoor patio by circle bar - Funny signs about drinking etc. - Very large menu and each entree gets 2 sides- Variety of sauces: I liked the mild and sweet- Burnt ends: chunks of brisket tossed in a bit of sauce were tasty. 3.5 stars- Mac and cheese: clump of cheesy noodles were pretty good. 3.5 stars- Texas toast: thick and lightly toasted as it should be. Cornbread option were tiny muffins. 3.5 stars- My friend got a turkey here for Thanksgiving she said was good. Midlights:- Pretzel was large and ok. 3 stars- Brisket: was ok but also not much flavor. 3 stars- Pulled pork: not much flavor and bit dry. 2.75 stars- Have cocktails but they're just ok. Lowlights:- Baby back ribs: very dry and not much meat at all. 2 stars Always passed this place and figured we'd give it a try. Wanted to like it, but with a picky southern hub who expects a lot of BBQ and lots of great restaurants around, we'll likely not be back.

Not Ready for Prime Time!We visited this new outlet recently and had mixed reactions. When ordering, our first complication came with the Caesar salad. One of our guests wanted the salad and some pulled (shredded) chicken as a protein. The server said this could not be done since the chicken was all leg quarters. She recommended that we order the smoked chicken platter with the side salad and then could take the chicken and eat it with the salad. I suggested that he just order the Smokehouse Salad with the chicken and the Caesar dressing as an option. That salad is served with shredded chicken. I ordered the $11 House Salad with blue cheese dressing, and the Brisket Sandwich. The blue cheese dressing is great. There are large chunks of cheese and it has a very balanced flavor (not too acidic). The salad was fresh and very good. However, it is served in a bowl that resembles a dog bowl, and it is not worth $11. The salad is a lunch item on the menu, but is served as a side item. The brisket sandwich was very good. The brisket was flavorful and moist, but the presentation screamed 'pot roast.' Sampling the meat alone, there was not a hint of smoke flavor on the meat. I am sure it is slow cooked, but the lack of smokiness was suspect. In a town where every other restaurant is a barbeque joint, Low and Slow is an ambitious endeavor, but needs some work on streamlining processes and products. At one point I counted 8 employees gathered at the end of the bar all socializing. Nothing wrong with that, but it is always a bad look for customers and a brand new restaurant.

So... What's for dinner? The nightly question was answered tonight with a visit to Low and Slow Smokehouse. My wife and I were quickly welcomed by both the hostess and the bartender and sat in a booth. We both ordered the smoked brisket sandwich with a side of cornbread and our plates came out a few minutes later. The buns were piled high with meaty, flavorful brisket and, unlike some other BBQ places, the meat wasn't dry or overly fatty. The cornbread was a generous 5" square service and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. While we dined inside the outside dining area and bar looked plenty large to enjoy watching a game on the TVs. There's flags for the Gators, Seminoles, Univ of Miami and Notre Dame (?) but the only thing we found missing was a flag for FSC which is just a few miles away -- Go Mocs! We'll definitely be back and if you haven't tried Low and Slow you're really missing out.

The service was great, but the food needs improvement!! I went here with my mother and husband for dinner. My mother got the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and collards. The brisket needed more seasoning she felt. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and French fries. His pulled pork also needed more seasoning. He said it didn't taste as if it had any. His fries were very dark (the oil they were fried in?). I had the 12 oz rib eye steak and the house made potato chips. I left most of the steak there- it was very tough and lacked flavor. The potato chips were literally burned and not eatable. The collard greens were very good and seemed fresh. After hearing so much about this place I was so looking forward to trying it, but it didn't live up to all the reviews.
