Local Bite Scratch Kitchen

Had a very nice lunch here shortly after their grand opening. All the food was very good- I had the roasted chicken and hummus wrap which was very tasty- very fresh. I also tried my wife's quesadillas which were excellent. And we split some French fries which for $4 was plenty for two people and possibly the best most crispy fries I've ever had. Prices were reasonable- service was good- highly recommended!

Gave it a two because we enjoyed the decorations. Service was mediocre.. guy wasn't friendly. Hubby sent his pop back ( tasted funny ). The staff turned and looked at us. Obviously the waiter was complaining. Had no Shrimp for the shrimp salad. Food was not all we hoped for. . Back to the Bistro down the street for us .

New really cute place that I had high hopes for turned out to be terrible. My husband and sister in law both ordered the fish and chips. It was not crispy AT ALL when you bit into it water came out. Not too much on the menu so you would think it all would be up to par. I had the BBQ salad which was good and the chicken wings were good. please take the review into consideration and make it better. I really want to see more restaurants succeed in Brooksville!! Waited 29 mins for someone to take our order in a restaurant with 8 tables that had already placed their orders. Burger has no taste. We asked what a few item were that had no description on the menu and no one knew. They all had to ask the kitchen staff what sauces were. The whole menu was 2 pages you should know your items. The waitress reach across us multiple times with horrible body odor. Will not be back. Small place with too many tables (8) very loud do not bring small kids.

Amazing food, excellent burgers and wings. Highly recommend. Service was great and friendly staff. Check out this gem downtown Brooksville!

my wife and I had 2 unfavorable experiences. waited 45+ minutes for takeout after ordering in the restaurant. staff is rushed and while not rude, aren't particularly friendly either. not planning to return

We waited 45 minutes to get our appetizer where other larger tables she came 15 or 20 minutes after us were already being served their entrées. We complained, and we're told everyone got here at the same time, which was not true. I ordered us a second round of wine and beer, and suggested it should be comped due to the way. Our wings were very good. Our burgers lacked spices. They did comp drinks and we appreciated that, but I'm not sure we will go back.

Two failed attempts when they pushed us out saying they were closed even though social media confirmed their hours? Why was their door open then or no hours posted outside? Tried one last time and got in. The server was not friendly and looked and acted like she wanted to be anywhere else. Barely spoke, Got our drinks with just a few small ice cubes floating at the top of the glass. Is ice too expensive for them? Sweet tea is very strange tasting and looking. Tasted like a very stale peach white tea and also was a very light orange color more like white or green tea. Hardly any sugar. Water tasted like it was from an old tap. Got a few peeks inside the kitchen and wish I didn't. Burgers looked nothing like on the menu (understand food is staged for photos) but I mean no bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion straws or tomato seen when placed in front of us. The onion straws were a soggy mess about the size of a quarter on top, the tomato looked like it was cut on a thin mandolin (you could read a paper through it) and it was tiny in width, lettuce was a very small wet glob again only in the center, ham slice was a very teeny thin piece of procutto, asked for mayo only and there was a glob in one corner on the top, the cheese was totally missing, the egg was burned and greasy, nothing was seasoned AT ALL, meat was bland and way too pink almost to the edge. It's not enough of a good quality beef to be served so raw...it's not a good steak mind you! Bun was very stale and fell to pieces when you tried to pick it up. Fries at least were seasoned but needed about 20 more seconds to cook the middle. That part was raw and cold. Need a chef in the kitchen folks not a line cook or home cook. It was so obvious. Server never came back and touched our table after our food finally arrived. Had to get up to find her after waiting a long time for our check. There were only two tables taken the whole time we were there. Good luck and hope for our community they improve with time.
