Chef Michael is the best in Tampa! Our wedding cake was memorable and the best cake I've ever had.

We went to the St. Petersburg Residential area for a private birthday party at Chef Michaels historic home. We had 8 kids and 10 adults. We were instantly greeted by Chef Michael as we parked our cars. He was joyful and in a pizza hat. He took the kids in right away and had them completely engaged. He showed us his space indoors and out and really made us feel comfortable. The kids (& the adults helped) made pizzas. Chef Michael sat us around a large butcher block island and gave us all dough. The kids rolled it out and then topped them with sauce and more than you can think of toppings! We took a little snack break so he could cleanup and sat outside. The backyard is beautiful and a perfect private setting for a party. We went back in and the kids got an 8" cake to decorate. Chef Michael made it fun and explained colors and sprayed each cake whatever colors the kids wanted. Then he brought out a ton of candy toppings for the cake. The kids were smiling so big! Each kid got to bring home their cake in a cake box. We ate our pizzas and then had some homemade gourmet cupcakes that Chef Michael made for the birthday girl. They even had her name and age on top in chocolate. Chef Michael was very engaging and interesting to the kids. My kids had a great time and said it was the best birthday party ever. The "dog show" at the end with his sweet Golden Retriever was really the cherry on top. I won't spoil it, but it really made the kids giggle and laugh. Thank you Chef!

Was this the best cake I've ever eaten? Absolutely not. Was it decadent? Absolutely! Was it over the top, outrageously overpriced? You bet! As you can see by the photos of the cake so generously gifted by a dear friend, the chocolate-grenache topping and hand-scripted, edible message is truly a sight to behold. But, the cake itself was just little slivers of chocolate cake drowning in light-chocolate mousse. Very rich, a thin slice goes a long way.Now the price: I saw the receipt. Was it worth $92 and change? I don't know about you, but $100 for a mousse cake is outlandish. So, 3 stars for creativity.I thank my dear friend for going out of the way to have a unique creation made, but the price tag on this baked confection gets zero stars.

Chef Michael is an angel! We met back in 2019 when my now husband and I wondered in to his bakery and he without warning he did an amazing and in depth cake tasting. We were sold! He then let us book another tasting with our parents, free of charge of course. He let our family members rank their favorites and help us select our perfect design! He even set up a special cupcake for my very picky mother. Our cake was perfect on the day of! He didn't let us worry about saving a tier and sure enough over a year later, made us a complimentary anniversary cake that was just as stunning and yummy as our actually wedding cake! Safe to say, when the time comes, he'll be making our baby shower cake!

Chef Michael and his team are terrific. Both in customer service and execution of their cakes and other bakery treats. My wife and I went to him on a friends recommendation for our cake testing. As others have mentioned, the experience was thorough and complete.What makes him stand out is his belief that the couple to be should not be without a fresh cake on their first wedding anniversary. Never mind that tradition of freezing the top tier of your wedding cake - not on his watch!As verbally agreed upon a year ago, I gave him an e-mail with the requested flavor and his team whipped up a small cake that we took home this afternoon. Everything about the cake from presentation to flavor texture and taste is as advertised and outstanding.Great things for great people, indeed!

So I attended a birthday party recently...and the host got 2 cakes made here to celebrate the birthday of his wife and his friend. The cakes were one of the absolute WORST cakes I have ever seen made. They were supposed to look like wine bottles, yet instead, one looked like an old fashioned milk bottle, and the other a tabasco bottle. Aside from the looks.......the cake wasn't even tasty !!!!!! And after I was told that these cakes costed $300 EACH...my jaw dropped to the floor. The host was told that the cakes would cost $300. Except when he got there the owner proceeded to tell him it would be $300 EACH. Frustrated and short for time (the party was 30 minutes away from being started), he was forced to buy the cakes for $600. And was told that if he didn't buy them, he (the owner) would sell them to someone else !!!! I'm sorry, but to me...this is unacceptable behavior. ESPECIALLY coming from the owner. Word of mouth travels very quick along with reviews such as Yelp. I was and still am very upset for the host and felt the need to forewarn other people before they purchase a cake from this shop !!!

Great summer camp! My daughter comes home happy, inspired and with great leftovers from the daily themed class. Super friendly and talented staff and we love that it is only a few hours a day and she can still sleep in over summer break.

Loved working with this company for our wedding cake a few years ago! We loved being able to get the single tier 1 year anniversary cake too!

Chef Michael is amazing. His cakes are always delicious. I got a Boston crème cake for my husbands birthday and had it decorated in a Michael Jordan theme

Ok, this is our 4th groom's cake, all from different pats of the country--and this one was was totally epic! I sent Let Them Eat Cake three pics of a realistic gator for two incredible Gator fans and their rehearsal dinner. Chef Michael didn't hesitate--he said, Got it!" And "where and when?" And "How many to serve?" I Don't think I'll ever order another dessert without asking Let Them Eat Cake if they have time. Delicious cake, best-ever design and follow through. (No cake left!) Go Gators, and Go Chef Michael! Thank you thank you!!
