This is my favorite place to go for any ingredients/foods/drinks native to Puerto Rico. On the right side, past the registers, they serve hot sandwiches (Cuban, Medianoche, etc.) and even have fresh cheeses they can slice up for you. On this side, they also serve fresh Cuban bread but you have to get there really early because they go quick! I've seen people leave with 2 or 3 at a time. And on the far left end is where the meat deli is. All of the staff here is extremely friendly and helpful too so don't hesitate to ask them anything.

I can't believe I have never reviewed this place. This is a little Latin Market off Palm River Road. Not too far from Brandon. I have been going here for years for their Cuban sandwich. I absolutely love Cuban sandwiches and I am always on the hunt to try one. In my opinion, I have not found any place in Tampa that is better than Latin American. However, I was told to try a place off Williams Road which is "supposed" to be better than Latin American. So we shall see. Anyhow, at $3.25 at Latin American you can get a nice size pressed Cuban. It is loaded with meat and you add the toppings of your choice. This place gets pretty busy at various times throughout the day. Latin American also offers fresh baked Cuban bread which I have seen people grab 4 and 5 loaves at a time. You can also grab some other grocery items that is inside at fairly reasonable prices. My only gripe is this place needs to be little bigger and offer a sit down area to gobble down that good Cuban you just ordered.

My family and I have been coming here for years! Even my dad drives 20 minutes out of his way to visit the deli side for some fresh bread, Cuban black ckddee, and/or a tostado (machine pressed bread with butter with cheese. There is also a butcher in the back (price per pound varies but have good deals for families). The supermarket side is good for special foods like cheeses, and certain spanish products we use for cooking only sold here. The family that owned this just sold it a few months back, but nothing has changed for the customer coming to get their quick breakfast and lunch. I recommend this place fully.
