Las Perlas Mexican Restaurant

Some of the best Mexican I've had in Florida! I'm so glad I finally decided to try Las Perlas.And what makes the experience even better is how much the owner cares about his customers and the customer experience.I don't live in Port Richey but I made the drive and it was definitely worth it.Food:Chicken chimichanga - absolutely delicious! I was thrown off at first thinking I got the wrong item because it looks like a little knapsack you would see on the back of a stick in those old cartoons ha ha but nope that's it, that's the chimichanga and it works! The sack fried tortilla is perfect, the chicken inside amazing and the thing that brings it all together, the Queso on top!The Taco Birria also very very good. I've had better consommé but overall the best Birria so far.I highly recommend both of these items.Chips and Queso, of course. Delicioso.For Dessert was the Tres Leche cake. This is the only item I can't get behind. Tres leche is layers and layers of delicious tres leche soaked cake with frosting. This one had a layer of a strawberry like jelly and whipped cream all over it. I wasn't a fan. Ambiance - I was only in there briefly but it had the perfect vibe for what you would expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant. A place where you can drink a beer and eat good food.I will definitely be returning to Las Perlas Mexican Restaurant and highly recommend you give them a try

My favorite Mexican place in NPR. I've ordered here a few times now and will continue to order from here. Their green sauce is FIRE and so delicious.

One of my favorite restaurants. Jesse, the owner, is doing everything right. The food is fantastic and authentic. Hester Es the best Shrimp tacos I've had anywhere. It would be true to say that I've not been to Mexico, or even California, but you cannot fake fresh. They're making everything fresh right in front of your eyes in their open kitchen.The interior is casual dining only, but its bright and attractive. The owner and his daughters work in the restaurant, and one of the girls has done all the art on the walls. She is clearly talented because its gorgeous inside. The girls have done an amazing job!

Super cute eclectic Mexican ambiance. Quick and courteous service. Now the food. I tried 3 tacos. Queso biriani, pastor, and carnita. All equally yummy. Pineapple fajitas were tasty as well. Comes out pumping hot. Horchata on point. The owner is wonderful and involved. It's nice to support local!

Tried it a few times and they have so many gluten free options for me. I prefer not to consume raw shrimp if I have the option but the seafood tower is really good. A friend ordered the very not gf chimichanga and it was beautiful. Looked like a hand stuffed mega dumpling twisted shut. I'll be back to finish a tour of this expansive menu savoring each bite as I go!

Recommended by a friend. Had some and apps. Fresh and delicious. Excellent service and friendly ambiance. Will definitely return to try other menu items.

What a great little Mexican restaurant! Very reasonable prices and excellent food. I had a chorizo taco, a pastor taco, rice and beans. All were terrific. The style of cooking reminded me of Mexican joint on the Southwest Side of Chicago, where I'm from. Nice touch of home here in my forever home!

Wow! Everything was so good and authentic! Queso fondito, sopes and enchiladas were ordered! Had to take home some tacos. So good, we can't wait to come back!

Service was good, especially considering it was a Friday night and they were busy. They were able to accommodate my dietary request and executed it perfectly. Super friendly staff. The ambiance is very authentic and easy going and the food is fantastic with plenty of options! All very authentic and great sauces. We've been once before and we'll definitely be back again.

Wow! Came here because our go to Mexican place wasn't open before 12 on Sunday. We will be adding this place to our go do list! Service was outstanding, big beautiful smile and greeting as we entered. Server was friendly, attentive but not over the phone top.Ambiance was fun and up beat with a real ethnic feel. Had fun quirky decor and popular Mexican music play. The Manager/owner was singing as he worked and everyone who was working seemed happy to be there.Food was superb hot fresh and tasty. The Salsa is the best we have found in Tampa. Wonderful privately owned restaurant!!!
