Largo Submarine & Gyros

Wow!!! Delicious delicious chicken gyro. The chicken was amazing, the tzatziki or toum or whatever sauce they put on it was DELICIOUS. Plenty of onions and a toasty grilled pita. Amazing. Also amazing fries. Perfectly cooked and perfectly salted. So delicious. Now, let me say, the price was a bit high. Almost $19 for a chicken pita, fries and a fountain drink. That's pretty darn high, however, the quality was so above the norm, the price didn't sting as bad. They should do a combo for $15 or something. Excellent but the price brings it down from a 5 star to a 4 star

I've been passing by here for years and finally pulled the trigger for lunch here last week.As always I want to order everything off the menu but alas I ordered two sandwiches and an appetizer.My favorite was THE WORKZ which is their steak sub with Bell Peppers, Mushrooms and Mildly Hot Banana peppers. It was tasty and the bread was soft and amazing. It was the right amount of steak and toppings. My second fav was their Eggplant Parm Sandwich. The only thing I wish this sandwich had was more sauce. Next time, I will get some on the side. Then I saw a previous review which called for the Breaded Mushrooms. I'm glad I did that as they were deep fried perfectly and the quantity was just right!If you plan on getting your order to go, I would call ahead of time perhaps 10 minutes ahead of time. That seems to be the right play to make for this place.The staff is friendly and there is enough parking so that shouldn't be an issue.

Ladies in here are running a tight ship...I got the steak hoagie....The steak was chopped up very fine with no weird stuff in it...It took care of my hoagie fix...Fries were fine...Came out quick and hot...Plenty of seating inside..No complaints.

I have been a loyal customer of largo subs ever since moving to Largo 2 years ago. During that 2 years I have watched their price for a hamburger go from 4.99 to 7.30. The food is fabulous well at least their burgers, reminded me of old burger stands from the 90s when the burgers were really grilled and taste like they are right off the BBQ. Service is not great, today I called in an order 30 min before I planned on picking it up. I arrive and only half of my order is done. So I wait another 30! Minutes for them to make a second burger which they forgot to put on the order. In the end I had a cold burger and a hot burger and not apologies no free fries no nothing... just here's your food bye. Prices go up while service goes way down. Although I love their burgers I will never order their again. Service means more to me than almost anything else. How you treat your clients is how you treat the food you cook.

So good we get these at least twice a month. Love their turkey and the philly! But get them with everything on it. We stopped getting subs from anywhere else.

Steak sub is great but needs better bread.Especially on Mondays , when u get thawed out rolls from last week that were frozen .

Ben talks about this place every time we drive past, he went to school at Largo High way back in the day and said this was the place everyone went to after school was let out. He mentioned that they had fried mushrooms, which is what has stuck with me. It is actually kinda difficult to find places that still have fried mushrooms on the menu these days, for whatever reason. Many places that had them before have removed them from the menu, much to my dislike!!The mushrooms is exactly what I went for on my first visit. I called the order in before and while they were finishing up in the fryer, I took the time to look around a little. I went on a Friday and though it was midday and before classes were out, the small diner was still pretty busy. The place is what I would call a dive, which is perfectly okay as I'd rather them focus on great food and keep the costs low while doing so. I took the mushrooms to go and I love that they were piping hot as I ate them on the way home. To some, they may have been too hot since they just came out of the fryer but to me, that is perfect! They passed the mushroom test so next time I will try one of their numerous other options along with more mushrooms, of course!

Largo Subs has the best Steak n Cheese sub anywhere! Place is very clean and staff is amazing! I highly recommend Largo Sub!!!

Fast and friendly service. The food was delicious. I got the cheeseburger sub and it was fantastic. This place is less than a mile from my job so I will be frequenting this location on my lunch breaks from now on. My only complaint and reason for the 4 stars is that it was really warm in the dining area. Some A/C would be nice.
