⁉ Looking for more hidden spots that no one tells you about?Well, locals have been coming here for years and not telling you about it because they want it all to themselves. And, you don't hear about them online because they don't pay for advertising or even have social media. That's when you know it's a good spot.I specifically come here for a place to chill with friends or a date because of the low prices and private booths. It doesn't get more local than this.Order:1 Sampler App - Yes, they even have autumn rolls and house made tempura shrimp. Not those Costco / Sysco tempura shrimp that all the other places serve now...2 Tom Kha Soup - I always order the large because it's that damn good3 Tom Yum Soup 4 Bean Thread Noodles 5 Papaya SaladStaff treats you like family.

SOLID 5 STARS!This place has been right around the corner from my house and somehow or other I've never tried it before. I went here with my son for our last meal together before he left to go gallivanting around the world. We ordered the Sashami appetizer and the Fresh Roll appetizer and were pleasantly surprised that these 2 items filled us up and there was no need to order an entree. The Sashami appetizer ($14.95) consisted of 9 LARGE pieces of fish (approximately 2 inches by 3 inches and 1/2 inch thick) all in a bed of raw matchstick carrots with A golf ball size chunk of Wasabi and a mound of Ginger. The Fresh Roll ($6.95) was rice paper wrapped so you can really taste the ingredients. The order consisted of 4 pieces approximately the size of a large egg roll with fresh raw ingredients and plenty of tasty dipping sauce. The decor was also tasteful and pleasant running the full spectrum from simple urns surrounded by a few live bamboo sticks to life sized bronzed statues. Add a comprehensive menu that will please any appetite with plenty of Thai vegan options (which would be almost sacrilegious in a Sushi only restaurant) and you have a dining experience fit for anyone!

Celebrated a friend's birthday here in February 2025. We had a reservation and were seated promptly once our party all arrived . I had the green curry with beef and it was delicious. We also split crab rangoon and chicken satay for appetizers. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back .

I used to come here all the time, but this was my first time back in a while. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, if not better! I got the pad Thai and it was the perfect texture and flavor. The atmosphere is nice, very well themed and a calming vibe, though it can be a bit dark. The service was great as well!

Been to Lanna Thai twice - first visit was great, but the 2nd visit ruined our opinion altogether. My wife and I live Thai food, and we were excited to find this place, which is in (St Pete) a desert of decent Thai food. But our experience during our second visit should make management ashamed, and it is based primarily on service. First, my wife ordered warm sake and I ordered a Tsing Tao. So far, so good. But here's where things went off the rails - the waiter starts to move things on the table and knocks over the sake. She has just gotten it. The waiter says, "no worries, I'll get you another!". Ok, stuff happens. He brings another sake.Next, the food comes. But one dish is a mistake - we didn't order that... We tell the waiter, "hey, it looks fine - no worries". He apologizes, and tells us, "thanks, but you won't be charged for that". Well, ok! The meal ends, and we're charged for 2 sakes and the unordered meal. I try to get the waiters attention, and after multiple tries he comes over. I explain the issue. He says, "on second thought, it looked like the spilled sake wasn't that much, so I changed my mind. And the the meal that was a mistake? You ate it, so I charged you".Huh?I asked to speak to the manager, he Said there wasn't a manager that day. I went to the sushi table and spoke with the sushi chef. He couldn't help. No recourse.... Or was there? This is THE FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE I DIDN'T LEAVE A TIP. Ever. On the tip line I wrote ZERO, AND YOU KNOW WHY. I explained the situation on the bottom of the ticket so management sees the reason. We won't ever go back - shame on them

I've been coming here for over 4 years consistently at least once a month usually for lunch but sometimes for dinner! I've never had a single time I wasn't happy with the food, I always order their panang curry with chicken and broccoli. The chicken and rice soup and egg rolls never disappoint!!! All the servers are kind, it's beautiful inside! I bring my family, I introduced my boyfriend to here, and I will continue to bring more people. Their desserts are tasty too especially the coconut ice cream (with fried bananas!), and thai donuts. I've tried many other thai places in St. Pete but I always come back here and compare it to Lanna.

We ordered Door Dash - 3 pad thai's. This is basic Thai food 101....let me tell you, and I don't say this lightly, it was absolutely INEDIBLE. Closest to the grossest things I have ever tried to eat, I'm not sure why exactly. We had been there before and it was fine?! As we opened our pad Thai's and ate them in silence, no one said a word to each other. But as we came to grips with the situation, one diner described her pad Thai as tasting like "dog food". That opened the flood gates for the other diner to say hers tasted like what farm sewage smells like. Last diner said her pad Thai tasted like the cook got sick and puked in the sauce. Yummy, right? Needless to say we all threw our dinners away and prayed we wouldn't be hugging the toilet that night. Do not go here and do NOT order pad Thai.
