La Pita

The food was fresh and delicious. They have the best pita bread so soft. i got babaganoush and hummus, plus a chicken swarma pita. Definitely will come here again.

Updating my review from 4 years ago: still awesome! I just really love everything I've tried at this restaurant. The food is always fresh, the service quick, friendly, and efficient, good sized portions of food, and very reasonably priced. My most recent visit I tried the Chicken Shawarma platter, and it was wonderful. Normally served with a garlic sauce, he substituted tzatziki when I requested it, which made it perfect. The chicken was carved straight off the rotating spit and heated on the flat grill, and was served with a small salad and hummus. Their hummus is really creamy and delicious. The platter is also served with a pita - keep in mind this is not the fluffy pita you're used to, but a Lebanese style large, almost flat pita, which is perfect for tearing apart and scooping up your food. Make sure to treat yourself to a piece of baklava for dessert - it is fresh and crispy and just the right amount of sweet.No real ambiance, but booths are available if you want to sit inside and eat. Totally a hidden gem, and I'll definitely be back.

Being from Detroit, I grew up eating Lebanese- Middle Eastern food, so was more than excited to find the locally owned La Pita. This is a fast casual spot that is probably more frequented as carryout. The falafel was handmade and delicious but the accompaniments didn't enhance the meal - would have preferred hummus, tabouli and toum to a traditional salad. Shawarma was good, though sliced too fine.

An explosion of great flavors in every bite. Fresh and delicious food, with very pleasant and quick service. Generous portions, and lots of options on the menu. The atmosphere is decidedly casual, and well traveled, but you're there for three food, and it's definitely worth a trip!I had a traditional Gyro, and it came with a mound of meat, tasty sauce, and fresh veggies on a puffy pita. My wife had Shawarma, which also had fantastic flavors and was a huge serving of food. Definitely recommended!

An explosion of flavor was met with every bite. We had the hummus appetizer with lamb&beef gyros, and both were excellent. The lamb&beef gyros were juicy, packed with flavor and generously filled. If you'd like to try authentic Lebanese cuisine, please check out La Pita.

La Pita's is an exceptional restaurant that has truly mastered the art of preparing delicious gyros. I have been eating there almost a decade. Their gyros are undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted and I LOVE their CRISPY fries. One of my favorite places to eat!If you're a fan of gyros, La Pita's is an absolute must-visit.

An unassuming, casual place with the MOST delicious shawarma I have had in this area. I just returned from a trip to Greece, and I think it's better than most of the shawarmas I had there too I got the chicken shawarma sandwich/pita wrap while my friend got the platter. The wrap had the perfect balance of everything--a generous amount of perfectly seasoned and tender chicken, fresh salad, and garlic sauce. The hummus from the platter was also top tier. We both got baklava for dessert as well, and it was yummy and not too sweet.

The food was incredible! The flavors were authentic, just like a true Lebanese home. Everything was fresh and made to order. I tried the Kibbe and the spinach pie--absolutely delicious!

Chicken Shawarma with the garlic sauce is delicious! Get the plate with Hummus (best hummus I've ever had!) and side salad (even the dressing for the salad tastes homemade and is wonderful)Don' sleep on this small place. It has BIG flavor!

Absolutely delicious food. Service is quick, staff is very pleasant and friendly. This will be my go to for Greek food.
