Had the most incredible meal at La Mordida in Clearwater! If you're craving authentic Colombian flavors with generous portions, this spot is a must-visit. I ordered the Picada Colombiana (pictured), and it was a mouthwatering feast with perfectly cooked steak, chorizo, pork belly, blood sausage, yucca, tostones, and more. Every bite was bursting with flavor and authenticity. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Bonus points for the pandebonos--freshly baked and paired with a tangy butter dip that I couldn't get enough of.If you're in the area and looking for something different, definitely check them out. It's a hidden gem for Latin comfort food. Highly recommend for date nights, family dinners, or just treating yourself. #TampaBayEats #SupportLocal #FoodieAdventures

La Mordida over in Clearwater serves both Colombian and Peruvian food. Usually, when a place tries to do two cuisines at once, it doesn't turn out that well. That's not the case here. This is easily my favorite Colombian spot since moving here from South Florida, and I've tried quite a few in the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Pinellas county area.I started off with some tequeños, and though they only came with three, they're huge and freshly baked. So good. I also had the tiger's milk ceviche, and that was phenomenal. For my main course, I had the Aji de Gallina--a chicken dish with a Peruvian cream sauce and shredded chicken. Oh my god, it was amazing. I can't believe I haven't had it before. My colleague had the Bandeja Paisa, and I tried a bit of everything on that plate. It was fantastic as well.To drink, I had a margarita and a cafe con leche. The margarita was large, strong, and very good, and the cafe con leche was also large and strong. The staff was super nice and accommodating. They even gave me a free dessert with my coffee, which was a great little surprise.Overall, this place is great. It's big and spacious inside, the food is awesome, and it's a good time all around. I'm very picky when it comes to Colombian and Peruvian food, and this place nails it. You won't be disappointed!

Omg! We were visiting from Chicago and stopped in for dinner. all I can say is that the food was spot on. The empanadas were tasty and the lomo saltado was to die for. My husband had the paisano plate and it was loaded with meats. Yum! Yum

The ambience is very tacky. Service was very slow, but did you speak English and Spanish at least the waitress I had spoke both. I had the ceviche with shrimp. It was quite delicious. They have a large menu. A few vegetarian options. Huge restaurant plenty of space for a group. I ordered some appetizers to go. I ordered a cheese and tequeros. If I remember I will post pictures of those too.

Service was very good and friendly. The ceviche was excellent. My wife had the pollo ropa vieja which was ok. The beef lomo saltado was good, my son had the camarones al ajillo which was also good. The menu was very large with good portions. I would return if I was in the area to try other things on the menu, just not the chicken.

We've driven by this restaurant and finally decided to have a bite. The interior is expansive and nicely appointed. We were there for lunch and were the only ones there.Starting off, we ordered their version of Chicha Morada which is a Peruvan purple corn drink. To my taste buds, it tasted like grape juice with a hint of cloves. It was very nice.Being newbies, we asked our waitress for some suggestions. We ordered the New York Steak and Shrimp and the Pascado a lo Macho. The steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done. It's served on a sizzling plate that had totally over cooked it. The steak looked like a broiled round steak. It said on the menu that it came with a House Salad. The House Salad was a bit of shredded lettuces with about teaspoon of dressing. (see pic) The steak was tough and flavorless. The shrimp were tender but also flavorless. I didn't send it back due to time constraints. I wouldn't order it again. The fish dish was much better. It was a fried Swai with a really tasty seafood sauce. As a heads-up, this is not a typical Latin or Mexican food restaurant. There are no chips and salsa or bread service. The meal was very pricey for what was served. FYI, the seating is very hard wooden chair...it was a tough sit.

This isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. They often have live music or karaoke in the large dining area. The menu is very large with a full array of choices. Don't be afraid to try out something new. I've never been disappointed. It is loud, but in a fun way; but not so loud that you can't hear each other. The servers are very pleasant and attentive too.

Very Good Food, Confused ServiceNot too long ago La Mordida moved from their original tiny space to this much larger location. It was a slow Monday evening at dinnertime. La Mordida is big and seems a bit cavernous when not busy. Nevertheless, it is nicely decorated and has a nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable.I ordered the Tiger's Milk for an appetizer and a Lomo Saltado for my entrée. Unfortunately, the Lomo Saltado came first. It was very good. The beef was tender and the sauce over the fries and beef was delicious. The Tiger's Milk is fish pieces marinated in citrus and has a wonderful flavor. If only the service was ironed out and the restaurant a bit more festive, I would have given La Mordida 5 stars.
