Our friends ordered a lot of Cuban food from this place and the food was really good. Pick up was east and there is plenty of parking Big New Year's Eve party tonight and there will be enough food for all 21 of usI would buy here again

Codfish ( bacalao ) on Fridays with white rice and bunuelo goooood!This supermarket on Hanley rd has been around for a long time. The only time I go there is for the codfish meal on a Friday. The food is freshly made and clean. The bacalao with 2 sides includes bread soup and a soft drink for under $7. The medium meal is enough for 2 to share.

This bodega carries anything a wayward Cuban or Puerto Rican might expect. They carry Hispanic candies, spices, and Violetas perfume and every canned Goya product imaginable. While all these crappy products seem to be over priced one can only suspect they were shipped in from some Latin country overseas for unknown reasons other than product familiarity for those fresh off a boat or plane. All that aside, they do offer "cold cut Cuban Sandwiches" at a fair price, and other hot ready to go meals. While good in a pinch, there are obviously more serious Cubans and hot foods nearby. For example Cubans made with slow cooked pork and ham rather than cold cuts, not to mention actual perfume shops, gourmet candy stores, and spices that don't resemble sawdust, just sayin.

Went there on a recommendation and was disappointed. This supermarket has a hot food bar, that serves mainly Cuban and Puerto Rican food. We ordered Cuban tamales and croquetas, and both were the worst that I have ever tasted! You can find better tasting food in any of the local food trucks in the area, we will not be going back.

Love the food and service. Great variety of hot dishes. Pork and moran rice are to die for. Service is good. I don't speak Spanish but that does not cause a problem. We live more than an hour away and anything we are in the area my hubby demands we stop and take home lunch/dinner. Huge portions!
