Small place located in a market. Food was decent and hot. Was odd that the chips and salsa are t included. But wasn't a deal breaker. Give them a shot.

Mom & Pop business Very small and clean Authentic cuisine and delicious, many locals stop here for breakfast and lunch.

Good food, outstanding service and reasonable prices. A nice place for lunch or diner. If you have not tried, you should!

There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Highlands County and this one gets the job done just fine!Atmosphere- This place is a combo restaurant and convenience store which is common in this county. The store side has mostly Hispanic products but of course everyone is welcome. As a Gringo I felt completely at home here.The place is spotless, and you can sit at tables in the store area as I did or there is a somewhat secluded separate room with a little more privacy. If you look at my pic, the entrance to the separate room is in the background. Customer Service- My server was the owner, Raul, and he was wonderfully engaging. You can tell he cares a great deal about pleasing his customers. My service was excellent.Adult Libations- These folks have a beer & wine license with a basic selection of each. I had an ice cold Modelo which got the job done.Food- This is your standard Mexican menu with a few American items thrown in which is typical. As you peruse the menu there will be no surprises.I hadn't had a Chimichanga for a while, so I ordered the ground beef platter version for about ten bucks.The food was out in good time with standard plating. The Chimi was massive as you can see in my pics. I found every item fresh and flavorful but mild. I would have appreciated a bottle of hot sauce on the table. Raul, did you hear that? Overall my food was great, and I was stuffed.I see these folks are open for breakfast and that's what I'm going to try next.

This is hands down the absolute best Mexican restaurant in Highlands County. Everything is absolutely delicious and tastes the same as when I go to Mexico. They are a wonderful staff, and it's cozy and comfortable inside. I'd post pictures if I had t eaten all my food! The Sopes, Gorditas, and everything in between is to die for! And...literally the richest most delicious flan I've ever had!

Food was pretty good and the server was very nice! First time at this restaurant! The melon juice tasted freshly made and was very good, Also tried the mango juice which was also good. I had the taco salad with chicken which was decent, my husband had tostadas with steak & chicken, he didn't love it said it was too salty - we may come back to try different items. The place also has a market which made it interesting...

Had beef tacos with guacamole and chips, chicken soup. Excellent portions and exceeded expectations after storm. Reasonably priced. Worth the adventure. Food obviously prepared with love.

Found this great spot while passing through town. There is a lot to choose from. We ordered tacos and sopes. Both were delicious and super authentic. The staff is very friendly. If I lived here I would be here every week!

Stopped by for lunch. Ordered the Chicken Enchilada Verde and it was very good. Good texture, good flavor, fast service and very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. I will be back.
