La Guapachosa

Being Cuban myself I was very excited to try this place. My family and I also know the owners for years. Good people with great work ethic. But this was a complete disappointment. When we came in and sat down, from the start the service seemed forced, and the server looked annoyed to be doing the job she gets paid for. The place was pretty empty by the way. When we got our pizzas, they were way overcooked from the bottom, almost burnt. The server completely forgot to bring my husband's drink and of course tried to charge it in our bill, we obviously had to at that point tell her you never brought it, which makes the whole thing uncomfortable. We did not leave a tip which we got a pretty obvious eye-roll for. We've never been back.

There are lots of pizza places in this area so consider this a good alternative to traditional American style pizza. Their pizza dough is delicious. It's also very filling so pace yourself. I'd never heard of Cuban style pizza before but thought it was delicious. Second visit my wife and I both tried the spaghetti. Would not recommend it, too much cheese melted into the spaghetti noodles and heavy on the onions. Will stick to pizza in the future. For appetizers I've had an empanada every time and it's the best empanada I've ever had. Would consider going just for those alone. My take: service - good; pizza - delicious; spaghetti - avoid; empanadas - fantastic!

Great food and deserts. I use to eat at a Cuban pizzeria in Miami. This one comes pretty close.

We came to this place because of the great reviews but after coming here, it was not the best. The spaghetti was good, but not the best out of this world. The pizza reminded me of school pizza in elementary. The service we got was mediocre. The waitress looked like she didn't want to work there. The place is well maintained and is clean but I'd like better service to at least balance out the OK food. Would I come here again? Maybe only for the spaghetti. The bread that came with it was stale.

Great new place, open about two weeks! This place is also owned by the owners of Cuban Delights Restaurant nearby. Great concept to share the Cuban style pizza, brought to their island in the 1930s when Italian church builders came to the island. They have 2 sizes "personal" (about 10") and "family" (didn't see it so don't know size). It's a soft bready crust more like a Sicilan (probably Cuban bread ingredients-oh so good), plenty of mozz to make it cheesy. The personal size runs a fair $10-$11. I'll get 3 meals out of mine. They have a dozen or so kinds, including Hawaiian (pineapple, ham) and "hot dog". They have a cold case of desserts, serve smoothies, and also make spaghetti. Closed Mondays. Inviting place, a bar area, dining space, 3 TVs, Cuban music. They said they have lots of Cuban people already familiar with the place and are hoping for more locals to come try it out. I think it's a great addition to the food landscape!

We ordered a pizza that had shredded beef on it.The pizza was very different but very good.Servers were friendly and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Menu choices were unique but would help if the menu had more of a description on what each item is.I would recommend this place.

Empanadas had hair in it and after I came back to let them know I couldn't eat that like that they changed their attitude with me so I changed it to croquetas and these look way better and don't have hair but I walked inside to throw away something in the trash and the lady said we don't have a trash for the public these people are a joke I don't recommend it to anyone

The pizza had no flavor. No one there really speaks English and probably doesn't care to learn. The service was poor. Once you place your order you won't be asked if you need anything or how your food is. We sat at the bar and the servers had our backs to us most of the time just talking and looking at their phone. Like the food the way it is or don't and do not go here if you're in a hurry...they don't care either way. We will not go back.

Needs a lot of work . Nice people but won't make it from what I saw. Only had personal pizza sizes, no description on what's on the pizzas .
