Kichi Taiyaki

I have been hearing about the new Japanese bakery in Lakeland and been wanting to try it out, and it did not disappoint!The main thing I wanted to try here was the fluffy Japanese pancakes. But a good heads up to know is they take about 20 minutes to make because they have to cook at a really low heat. So if you go there to have those make sure you're not needing to be somewhere right after- we didn't have time to wait so I will be back for those for sure.They had so many options that sounded good but ended up trying a jelly pudding that was in the shape of a capybara. They have other animal puddings too like a duck and cat. It was so cute and tasted as delicious as it looked adorable.The peach boba tea we had was great too. It was sweet and a little sour and packed with flavor. The tapioca pearls were cooked and soft like they should be.I also loved the vibe in here. It's crazy how different the inside looks from its last tenant that was Twisted Sugar, a cookie place. It's so color and so much more inviting inside now, and a good amount of seating even for being a small place.

Taiyaki! In Lakeland!! I couldn't be happier! It's a little bitty place. It's super cute but it's busy, you might need to take your goodies to go, because seating is limited. Head to the counter, order, and wait to be called to collect your treats. Everything is made to order so patience is key. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable! Taiyaki come out piping hot and delicious. We had the red bean and the Nutella versions. We also tried their Boba tea and everything was amazing. Prices are a bit steep, but it's a fun treat. We went on a day when it was super crowded and difficult to move around. Once the crowds die down, I'll definitely be back in there for more goodies!

Very cute location! I was so excited when it came to Lakeland! The service was fast and the staff are very friendly! They have a large menu and offer fluffy pancakes!! The only thing I disliked was the brown sugar boba. The boba pearls had a strange taste to them but the ube soft serve was delicious

The food is yummy, the aesthetic is nice, and the staff are friendly. We did go the day after it opened so it seemed like they did not have some things they were advertising ready but what they did have available was yummy. It also did take a while for the food to be ready but we did order the fluffy pancakes that take a while. The pricing was also on the steeper side but comes with the items. Would recommend checking out if in the area.

My first visit was prior to ice cream on the menu. Lines were long and they were learning to use the fish waffle machine so throwing lots of ugly outcomes away. I enjoyed my savory pizza waffle, of good flavor. I also enjoyed the shaved ice item thought it didn't look pretty the way it was served in styrofoam "to go", it was a fun dessert. The wait was too long for the pancakes so I hope to try them soon. Also want to add the ice cream to my repertoire. I'll reevaluate my rating after being there more than once! Novel dessert shop.

They open a location in lakeland which I was excited to try. I know there is a Brandon location. Which I have visited. I didn't get a chance to try the soufflé! It was n ie to finally try it. It was delicious. Didn't disappoint. The staff were so nice in explaining the options. The place is small but clean. I can't wait to try this place with my mom

Wow this place was so fun and inviting! It's impossible not to try everything because every item is so different than the usual desserts offered around. We tried four different menu items and none of them disappointed. The soufflé pancakes do take 20 minutes to cook so plan to wait for this yummy treat. They are so soft and have the feel of a custard when getting a spoonful. Best pancakes I've ever had! The vanilla ice cream was super creamy. The jiggly cat is made out of gelatin and pudding. It was okay in flavor but definitely more for the aesthetic and cute picture. Our favorite was the bingsu! The pictures don't do it justice with the size of it. That one Bingsu fed 3 of us. It is similar to a snow cone but the ice is so soft and melts instantly in your mouth (not crunchy like a normal snow cone). The Bingsu we got did have boba jellies inside which we did not know when we ordered but was a nice surprise. This will definitely be a go to in the warmer months. If you haven't given them a try yet I highly suggest you do!

They said they stopped making soufle pancakes an hour before closing because it "takes too long to make".... An hour before closing? Really? So we ordered the taiyaki instead. Paid $25 for 6 of them and they all came out looking like a bunch of kids cooked them for the very first time. It was burnt and so messy.

Waited for 35 minutes, very busy, two workers, not their fault! The owners obviously are not staffing this place properly. In the bathroom, there's a sign that said "do not throw toilet paper in the toilet seat" what exactly does that mean? So I would encourage them to use some Google AI and or Google Translate to make sure the semantics of the signs are correct.
