Fantastic gyro!
Jun 21 - Moussaka - Don't love their preparation of this dish - egg instead of cream and potatoes weren't terribly flavorful.
Jun 21 - Greek salad - done extremely well w/ fresh ingredients - good feta and potato salad. Highly recommend!

Gyro's, baby!! This little European grocery has the best gyro I've had in St Pete! Get it to go, small tables and catering to the grocery side of business. Warm tasty meat, great tomatoes n veggies and tasty pita bread but the taziki sauce was exceptional! Great gyro at a good price. Bravo!

I drove to this place from Lakeland because they have a different variety of European products. I usually come here about 4-5 a year and spend at least $75.00 each time I shop. My son wanted the 7 day chocolate croissant that they were selling in a box. The box was priced at $5.99. I got 2 boxes and when I was ready to pay they told me that these were priced wrong. I asked them to honor the price because it's not my fault they had the wrong price, also the expiration date was 1/25/25....I am not sure who the guy in charge was, but he refused to honor the price and he was not friendly (he never is). I left my full basket on the counter and walked out. I'd rather go someplace else and spend the money rather than give it to this place.

Revised to 3.5 overall as there are a number of take-out food items here that are realllly good and am trying to let go of my COVID-related gripe with this place and focus on the food. This really is the best place for Greek take-out that I have found in St. pete. I order ahead and just run in for pickup. KEY TAKEAWAYS ON FOOD:- GYRO PITA - Very good and tzaziki used is very fresh, sometimes the lettuce is a little iffy. My favorite in St. Pete, if comparing to other locally available options, it is a 5/5, compared to NYC 4/5, compared to Greece 3.5/5. - GREEK SALAD - The deliciously moist feta in this salad is what really sets it apart. There is nothing worse than dry and flavorless feta in a greek salad! (SEE PIC). 4.5/5 compared to local establishments, 3.5 compared to NYC, and 3 compared to Greece. - BAKLAVA - Delcious walnut baklava at good price ($4 or $5 for 2 triangles). 4.5/5 compared to local establishments, 3.5 compared to NYC, and 3 compared to Greece. - SPANAKOPITA - (Spinach pie) YESSSS PLEASE!!!!! Don't leave without one of these. Packaged in plastic baggies, and room temperature may not be as appealing to some but this is how I like it because the filo dough gets a bit softer. Just how my momma makes it. 5/5 compared locally and NYC, 4.5/5 compared to Greece. - MOUSSAKA - I got this once and was not for me, simply because it is an egg-based version using egg instead of custard. Surely a healthier version but I like the custard and am not a big egg fan anyway. Also lacking red sauce on my opinion. Since this is more greek-american, and I'm more dissatisfied with the preparation, not going to rate. SEE PIC.

What a hidden gem! There are all sorts of European ingredients for cooking, snacks, frozen items and freshly made finger foods/ snacks that you could quickly grab and go!Just keep in mind it's not a Cafe or restaurant so the atmosphere is very simple, nothing fancy but it's exactly the hole in the wall stop you'd go to grab some groceries, coffee or quick grab and go food in Europe. The lovely ladies here are quick to translate some of the items for you and go above and beyond with the coffee they make (delicious might I add). All in all wonderful little fun stop but not a fancy one, very much a deli style convenient store. Definitely plan to go back there. There are literally snacks and food items from all over Europe!

Little market that sells European goods. Cafe inside with a few items to order from. Ordered a gyro and a chicken souvlaki. Both were delicious!

To set the record straight, this is not a restaurant. But a market that happens to serve food. They have a small menu, but yet the aromas coming from the small kitchen is inviting. The market is full of Eastern European/Greek merchandise that you would not find at large super market. Between the locals and the language spoken it was like going on a super quick trip and getting a taste of a different culture. Come here, spend your time and enjoy!
