This bakery moved from the Westchase area to Cass Street. It really is not that far away and have a somewhat wide variety of offerings. They are located on the corner of Cass & Lincoln, in what appears from the outside a very old convince store. The major part of the store is a convenience market, but then there is Just Baked.Truthfully I was quite surprised by the overall operation. There were not as many baked goods as I expected. 1 type of cookies, a brownie, 4-5 types of cakes & a few cupcakes & 2 pasteries. What I didn't expect was the hot table of food that overall looked appetizing. I also did not expect 2 sizes of premade Cuban sandwiches & a chicken salad sandwich with grapes in it. They also at times have some premade containers of Sheppard Pie, lasagna... that you can purchase, take home, heat and eat.I got a large Cuban to go. The Cuban bread was fresh, though a bit too thick, there was a good amount of meat, but very little pork. As far as Cubans go in Tampa, it was good, not great, not bad, but good. The surprise came when I found a coarse black hair in my sandwich, not so appealing, but I am not judging the sandwich on the hair. The cookies were good & the chocolate cake was good, the bacon topped cupcakes, had no pizazz and the flavor was quite bland & the bacon was crisp. The banana cake was awesome, great flavor, very moist, a must try. The brownies were a let down, not chewy, not dry, chocolate Wdid not sing, really quite pedestrian.I would like to return & see if maybe they are just getting their moved in sea legs. The chicken salad Sammi looked quite good as did a killer big hamburger patty with grilled onions on the hot table. Also the take home & bake idea appeals to me.I also would like to see if it is a full service bakery or what you see is what you get. What's a girl to do? Good eats is good eats & we all have missteps & deserve a second chance.
