JR’s Good Time

Have been wanting to try here since moving to Homosassa and finally got to! Upgraded from a food truck to a restaurant! I called ahead on a Tuesday lunch time, boy they were busy but mine was ready and hot when picked up. The place is decorated very comfortably with grays and black fitting that county outback picnic, yet modern feel. I went pretty basic to try em out!- First was the double smash cheeseburger (I got it plain with only pickle cause I have my own topping I wanted to add to it, it's my hometown thing, paired very well!) This burger was very filling and juicy like a smash burger should be. He serves them on a Hawaiian bun so it's got a sweet and savory taste! Second was the hotdog. I love a good old fashion ball park hotdog, I am not a fan of these crazy large all beef hotdogs, so for me I WAS ECSTATIC that this was like the traditional dogs we grew up on! Comes on a toasted bun making for a pretty good hotdog. I will be returning to try more.

Wow! Hot, fresh, scratch food....and delicious! The food is exactly what we expected. Hubs got steak burger with cheese, I got mushroom Swiss burger, both were excellent. We had a small order of cheese fries, hot and fresh!Service was great, food came quickly!Highly recommend for a delicious burger and hot fries! Oh! And very affordable!

We stopped in to JR's by chance because the restaurant that we were trying to visit was closed. When we pulled in, the parking lot was packed. Inside there was not a seat to be found (people move quickly if you wait). I immediately knew this place was going to be good and it did not disappoint! The burgers were absolutely delicious! We also tried the onion rings and tator tots, both were crispy and very good. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. I would give 10 stars if I could. We will be back!

So happy to see JR's new restaurant. We are regular customers . I can't stop enjoying those smash burgers. We stopped in and the new place is clean and remodeled. They have some tables outside as well. You can set at the bar or tables. I got my delicious double bacon cheeseburger again. We also got a large order of the crispy tots. My wife got the gyro and loved it. Never enough sauce. Staff is always friendly. Hope they get beer and wine soon. See you next time.

Best GYRO I've ever eaten and I've eaten them in Greece and Costa's in Tarpon Springs. Their swiss cheese mushroom burger is killer.

The food was so good tried a burger, gyro, fries, and tots all were delicious. Great service and nice guys!! Will definitely go back

Great food! Best chili EVER! Crispy chicken salad is soooo good! Burgers full of flavor.

Wife and I rolled in for a quick lunch. Sat at the bar and had drinks and ordered food. The food is excellent and the tater tots are the best in the state. It is clean and new looking and updated but still has an old diner feel. Our server Alton was friendly and professional. HIGHLY recommend.

This is the BEST Burger I have ever eaten. OMG If my stomach would have let me. I would have tried them all. I had the Steak and Cheese burger.

Cute little mom & pop shop! Smash burgers were a 10/10!! Highly recommended for a quick lunch! Great service as well.
