About a month later, the restaurant replied, wrote "An hour to feed 27 people and your complaining like you were the only people there? Seriously?"... guess we certainly don't see eye to eye ... oh well

After it was too hot somewhere else, we decided to try it here. The bread and dip is phenomenal, ate it too fast for a photo....sorry, not sorry. It just happened to be martini day $6 which is about 1/2 price. The bar was bussin! I had the Joiatini and my date had the Dirty Peach. We enjoyed them both! Calamari and a Vodka Ricotta large pizza ordered. Excellent! Will return.

I wish I took more pics but I'll start by saying even the bread basket and oil dip was AMAZING. Next we had the Fresca caprese and equally incredible. For drinks the extra dirty martini was a 10 and for our entree we had spinach Alfredo with chicken pasta and Penne Quattro. The servings were huge. We shared a tiramisu. It's tasted really good but the cake was a bit too soft to give it a 10 but all in all the food and experience was great. Stephanie was attentive and very sweet. We will definitely be back to try something else.

On this particular evening, I decided to treat myself to a solo dinner, craving some pasta and a refreshing drink. Having previously enjoyed their pizza, I had high hopes for their pasta.The restaurant's ambiance is a cozy, dimly lit jazzy vibe, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. However, I must admit that the pasta fell short of my expectations. It lacked the seasoning I was anticipating, and the chicken appeared to be of the frozen, pre-sliced variety.Despite this, I plan to return to Joia and give their pasta another shot, perhaps opting for a different variety, as I do remember their pizza being quite satisfying. Here's a quick summary of what I ordered:Penni Di Sole: Regrettably, it left me wanting in terms of flavor, and the chicken didn't meet my expectations in terms of freshness.

This is my husbands and my favorite local haunt. He is a pizza snob and loves his martinis and this place never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and the food is both really good and very reasonably priced.

I walked in from the parking lot and enter into the door suddenly surrounded by dim lighting. The hostess greeted me with, "How many?'. They then grabbed a couple of menus and sat my dad and I in a booth. We were seated in a wide circular booth with red cushions under romantic soft lighting. We perused the menu that lists dishes like lobster ravioli, flatbreads, and eggplant parmigiana. With an empty stomach, my mouth was already watering at the tasty Italian inspired dishes. However, this is not just another Italian joint. Along with their Italian dishes, there is an extensive list of unique martinis. With choices like, "Chocolatini" and "Naughty by Nature", the 2 for 1 special was calling my name. While we waited on our food, I shook a bit of salt and pepper into the olive oil dish. I dipped in a small piece of bread and the flavor is simple yet satisfying. The crusty texture of the bread absorbed the richness of the olive oil which was perfectly balanced by the saltiness of the seasonings. When the server returned, our martinis were placed down and the glasses clinked quietly as they met the table. I couldn't help but feel like Samantha Jones as I held the thin stem of the "Sex and the City" martini between my fingers. At first sip, my lips pursed as the tangy combination of lime juice and raspberry liqueur touched my tongue. When I took my first full sip, my face relaxed as the flavors combine into a slightly medicinal (but still delicious) cocktail.At times I was distracted by the table full of people who were taking advantage of the two for 1 martini special. The air was filled with their tipsy laughter, which slowly drifted in between the surrounding booths. This creates a good balance of noise, so you don't have to whisper but also no one was yelling.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Place!I had an awful dining experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible from the start--our server was inattentive, and we waited a long time for our food. When it finally arrived, it was a complete disappointment.The lasagna tasted like it was a frozen lasagna sloppily covered in a bland, overly acidic red sauce. The piccata limone was even worse--completely inedible. It had none of the fresh, vibrant flavors you'd expect and was just a soggy, flavorless mess.If you're looking for authentic Italian food, this is NOT the place. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your time and money--go somewhere else!

My husband and I ate here just after Christmas. We made it with 4 minutes to spare for their 2-for-1 martini special, and our amazing server put the order in right away. There was live music and a dimly lit, but cozy feeling environment. The food was incredible! I had the lobster ravioli, and my husband got pizza. We also ordered dessert. I highly recommend the mini cannolis. They are small, but delicious. We are returning again for a double date in a few weeks.

This is a gem in Riverview. The food, atmosphere, and music were terrific. We will be back.
