I have tried a few produce market's recently and this one is definitely the best of them. They have a large variety of fruits and vegetables. The prices and quality are great. I was able to find everything that I was looking for and I picked up a few extra things on each trip I have made here. I have tried romaine, red peppers (they had a great selection of HUGE peppers!), mushrooms, red onion, zucchini, cucumber, lemons, and apples from the produce section. They also have a rather impressive grocery section with a lot of specialty or ethnic items. I purchased some greek olive oil, seasoning, feta, grated Parmesan, locally made hummus, and a few other things. They have some baked goods that look incredible too. I have purchased quite a bit here on each trip and my bill has been low. There is typically a line at checkout, but it moves quickly. The service is fast and efficient. I like John's and I will be back (probably almost every week).

Well there's no getting around it. This is our favorite produce place hands down. They're not as well stocked as Tommy's and have less inventory variety. That's quite okay, because I usually am not out to find jackfruit, Japanese radishes, Lebanese sausages or processed cows' feet. John's has all the basics and more. They have that same good grocery and dry food selection as always: mainly Greek and Slavic stuff with some German and Hungarian items for good measure. Add a great cured meat and charcuterie selection and some of the best bread you can find in Florida. So what else do you need from a good produce mart? Most of their produce is of great quality at a very reasonable price. I do see the occasional new face behind the register, but the owner and his wife are always there if his parents are not. Since we've shopped there regularly, the owner usually talks to me for a few minutes if he's not too horribly busy. As any Greek male, he's definitely opinionated about things and doesn't bother to hide it. We have had many interesting debates about many subjects both American and Greek. I love it!! A definite small family-run operation that I enjoy supporting. Great selection of produce and other stuff, as always.

Sometimes you may not feel satisfied with the selection of fresh produce that the major chair grocery stores stock. Thanks goodness that John's Fresh Produce Markets exits. The store is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of S. Belcher and Nursery Rd. in Clearwater. The store is very well kept and fresh smelling. All of their produce looked great. I think that the main reason that they've been open for so long in Clearwater is the fine quality of they're veggies. They also carry a good variety of freshly made breads and pastries. There's a section of the store that is devoted to exotic canned goods as well as some very tempting cookies and candies.I can definitely recommend John's Fresh Produce Market for some of the highest quality fresh produce in Pinellas Co.!

I love John's Fresh Produce Market. I actually go for the bulk domestic feta cheese. It's just $3.99/pound and they will give you brine for free which makes the feta last a long time.John's has all the Greek staples as well, I'm not Greek but my heritage has a similar cuisine so I go to John's for specially cooking items such as filo dough by thickness. Today that has #4, #7 and #10. You can't find that at publix! They also have high quality jars of grape leaves. I was happily surprised with the amount of fresh herbs thay had today. I got a ton of basil, it was just $12/pound. That is a great deal, I'm going to make a ton of pesto tonight! I definitely recommend for produce as they do have specially produce items as well as most other typical produce but I make special trips when I need feta.

My mom went to John's since 1972 when it was on a truck. Then a lean to then the current store. Now that I live here, I go to John's for my produce. His produce tastes like it just came out of a garden , his variety it wonderful and his prices are great for the best produce in the area.

We stopped there today as we love to get fresh produce. It was great! The beefsteak tomatoes were large and perfectly ripened - not hard like the ones you get in most chain grocery stores. The asparagus was small and firm; and the beans were crisp and fresh. The prices were excellent - they will certainly our business in the future.

Great little place to get produce. Variety is a little limited; they have the basics of course, but don't go expecting to find dragonfruit or purple cauliflower. And the quality and prices more than make up for what may be missing on variety. I stop in there every week and the only downside I see is the crowds. It makes sense that so many other shoppers also like the place.
