Jesse's Steak and Seafood

The steak and seafood is amazing. It's kind of a cozy place. We have been there several times. It's a nice little 40-minute drive from Lakeland to Brandon. There are millions of stores around. You can make a day of it. I highly recommend.

We were in Brandon to pick up a few things this morning and decided to have lunch at Jesse's Steak and Seafood, on 60. This is one of our favorite places when in Brandon. The restaurant has been around since 1980 and has, in my opinion, earned its reputation for great food and friendly service. We had the house specialty - Prime Rib. I had mine with a Baked Potato and my wife opted for the French Fries. The Prim Rib was cooked to just the level we ordered - Medium. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. If you have not been to this restaurant you should give it a try when you are in the area.

I've been asking my when we are going back to Jesse's.This long time establishment in Brandon serves up top quality steaks in an old school atmosphere with friendly service.Walking in to Jesses is like traveling back to the 90s for me. The stained glass lights over the tables. The darker setting. Wooden floors and tables. A fish tank in the wall. It just felt like what restaurants used to be.My wife, daughter and I were sat quick. Maybe a 10 minute wait just after 6pm. We just missed the early bird pricing. If you name is on the list before 6pm, you can get discounts.My wife ordered a New York Strip, cooked medium-well. I ordered the Prime Rib, queen sized, cooked medium-rare. Fries and veggies on the side. They start you with bread but don't over indulge, you need room for the amazing meats.This Prime Rib was the best Prime Rib I have ever had. Juicy, so tender, it wasn't funny. It was swimming in an au jus with mushrooms and came with horseradish for dipping. The flavors were rich and full. Each bite I took, I told my wife, you need to try this. Even our 18 month old was loving it.My side of green beans were good and the fries here are what we look for in fry. Mostly extra crispy. They were fresh, crunchy and perfect with some ketchup.Our server was excellent. She was always around and was super helpful and knowledgeable on the menu and history of the restaurant.I'd go here again, for sure.

For was very good, and the service was better. But, it was very crowded and the wait was 30 to 45 minutes. The parking there was limited too.We'd still go back.

Jesse's is a staple in Brandon and for good reason. The servers are always pleasant and personable and the food is amazing. I really like the fish. The prime rib, of course, is fabulous. Jesse's is one of those retro places that just exudes quality but not pretentiousness. Make sure you sit on the patio though. I even like the music that they play, at just the right volume. You can get good deals by ordering off the lunch or the early bird menu. Neither me nor any of my guests have had a bad meal at Jesse's.

First visit - neat old-school steakhouse vibe, dark wood and stained glass hanging lamps. Good service. We shared the Baked Crab Soup in a bread bowl tasted good, rich and creamy. I got the crab cakes - decent but a little short of crabmeat. . He got the fried shrimp - nice thin dusting of breading and large butterflied shrimp. We'll be back to try their steaks or prime rib. Recommend

A group of 10 came on the advice of a former employee. We arrived on Sunday Prime Rib special, which my wife had and it was melt in your mouth good, I had the glazed pork chops, cooked to perfection. I believe that others had prime rib also and there comments were the best that they've had. A couple of the guys had burgers and they were great but the fries were kind of stuck together, but the waitress corrected their bill and they were happy. My advice we arrived at 4 with reservations and had a 10 minute wait, any later than that you're going to be waiting because it was packed when we walked through the doors. But don't walk off because it's definitely worth the wait!!

Do not judge a book by its cover. This place looks dated on the outside and is small on the inside thus creating long wait times BUT the food is absolutely fantastic! Best Steak I've had anywhere in Tampa including Bern's!

What a hidden gem. The place is clean and you get a huge portions for the price. The staff were really nice and the food is Delicious. I hope to come again. Our server was on it. He was very attentive. I ordered a drinks that was really good and it only cost $8.00! GoodnessThe place is clean and the manager came by and ask if everything was okay. Everything was great. They also do an early bird special on a Saturday!

Jessie's was the perfect spot for Valentine's Day dinner. Jessie's has been one of our favorites for the last 28 years, it was the first restaurant we went to on our first night when we moved in at River Hills.Jessie's is so very consistent after all of these years, only thing that has changed has been the staff, but they have all been the best.Prime rib is fantastic, we get the king Cut rare and split it, and usually take some home for lunch.If you have tried Jessie's, do yourself a treat and give it a try, it will become a favorite
