I love the vibes of Jerk Hut! Felt old school and authentic, not over-commercialized. The buffet was excellent! Everything was hot and delicious. The brown stew chicken, plantains and cabbage were stand outs. The service was just OK. Not terribly attentive. Our water was never refreshed for instance. The food alone would keep me coming back.

Five Stars!"Jerk Hut Jamaica is a gem! The food is incredibly authentic and bursting with flavor. Very fast service with unique twists on the classics. The jerk chicken is absolutely awesome. I had jerk salad. can't wait to come back for one of their theme nights. Highly recommended!"

I'm not even sure where to begin. I was visiting the Tampa area and someone recommended this place. My party and I were not pleased with the service and food at all. Place was Understaffed, and food is extremely salty. Everything was salty: soup, chicken, fish. I'm a Jamaican and this is not how Jamaican cuisine is suppose to taste! The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is cause they tried to get it together when they notice how much expensive dishes we ordered, and how long it took to even get our food out. They do have a buffet. Everyone else was eating from the open buffet. Pretty disappointed with the quality of food considering they been open for over 30 years according to their social platforms.

Service was good our waitress told us her favorite things on the menu and we went from there. We started off with drinks and the original bartender guy didn't make a good old fashion and yes I know you're asking why get that from a Jamaican restaurant and the answer is, it was in the drinks menu and that's what my friend wanted lol. Our waitress saved the day by remaking it herself and it was perfect. We came on a Tuesday night which was open mic nite/a locals jam session and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

My boyfriend took me here to get dinner and the server was nice she introduced herself after we sat down and asked us if we'd like something to drink. She also recommended some drinks and I got the natural pineapple ginger drink. It was actually sweet, I was expecting it to be tangy with the ginger. We did the buffet for $16.50, the jerk chicken is so good with the brown chicken stew gravy. The yellow rice and rice and peas were ok, but the okra was soooo delicious. The fried fish was fresh and piping hot when it came out and same with the sweet plantains. They are my favorite part of the meal besides steamed dumplings which they didn't have. I was so sad, but it's ok because I got full off of two plates. The ambiance is inviting, made us feel like we were in Jamaica along with the island music, had us jamming.

The food is basically Jamaican comfort food. Which means it's good! Rice and beans, curry dishes, meat pies, oxtails all delicious!

Me and my husband tried the open buffet they had and it was absolutely AMAZING and only $14.99 each! The quality and taste of the food was better than what I had in Montego Bay and I will definitely be returning!! I tried the chicken stew, beef stew, bbq chicken, jerk chicken, okra, collard greens, peas and rice, and the lemon pound cake at the end and it was all a 1000/10! Also the service was awesome, our waiter saw us praying before we ate and he even prayed with us from a distance lol which I loved about him! Everything was top notch and much better than I expected! The ambiance is really cool too, it's very coastal Caribbean style decor in the restaurant and gives it that perfect Jamaican vibe! Please come here you will not be disappointed!

Went on monday evening after receiving no service at another restaurant only to receive the same service here. None. they close at nine. I arrived at like 8pm so it wasnt like i was catching them at closing. there were many cars in the parking lot so I knew they were still open and serving. i walked in and the girl there was surprised and asked if i ordered food to go, and I was like, no I want to be seated. she said, we only take to go orders now and I was like ??? What kind of service is that!? Oh well. won't be going here again.

Had a small red peas soup and large platter of jerk chicken and pork with rice and peas and cabbage. The soup had dumplings, yellow yam and sweet potato, it was delicious. The platter was huge enough for two people. The chicken and pork were savory and delicious, genuine Jamaican jerk.Excellent place for dinner.

10/10Everything about this establishment was amazing. The food was flavorful and fresh. We had the buffet / my favorites were the jerk pork, rice and beans and the cabbage. The service was top tier. The staff was super friendly. My family enjoyed the ambiance with the live music and the band was interactive with the crowd.
