Jan's Wines & Boos II

This place is close to home and has a great drink selection. Live music on Friday is great. Like that I can order food from my fav place, Rice and Roll and get it delivered. You have to ask for Tyler to be your bartender. He is awesome!!

This was my first time actually coming in. I've known of the place for I'm guessing as long as I've been in Tampa. To say this is a Lutz Staple would be an understatement. Seriously this Publix and the hair place are probably the only spaces that have never been anything else. They're conveniently located a few doors down from a Publix with no liquor store. This particular night me and some friends came to support the musical act who happened to be friends of mine. If all of the acts are as talented as my friends they're great at selecting musical acts. Jan's Wine and Boo's the very definition is a neighborhood watering hole. It shouldn't be a surprise that I ran into friendly faces from other places I frequent. The staff is friendly the prices are great more than a dive bar less than Applebee's plus it's a better pour. I didn't get a chance to browse the liquor store but I am a fan of being able to shop while I'm enjoying a drink. If I'm in Lutz I will probably go back.

My favorite local wine bar recently closed & I have avidly been looking for a new once. Jan's is a bit off the beaten track & not really in my area, but I love it.1/2 of it is a wine & liquor store & the other half a quaint oasis with liqueor and great wine. This is the friendly type of place where everyone talks to each other. Very homey, unpretentious and friendly.They sell some primo meats & cheese, make sure to try the port & cheddar cheese, so good!They don't sell any prepared food, but feel free to order from 1 of the restaurants in the shopping center or go to Publix & buy whatever you'd like to eat. This indulgence is encouraged & welcomed to keep their customers happy.This is kind of a small establishment, but on different nights they offer karaoke, trivia & other entertainment.Such a great place with knowledgeable and friendly staff. It sure doesn't take long for you to feel right at home, I know I do & I can't wait to return.What's a girl to do? A wine bar that fits you perfectly is hard to find.

I'm a sucker for mom and pop places, and this bar did not disappoint. It's divey, with good karaoke and even rare brews, like Funky Buddha "Last Snow". They also have a little "store" that's connected to the bar, where there is an extensive selection of beer, wine, and liquor for take-home purchase. You can also purchase good quality cheese at this store. I usually go to the store first, pick out my beer and pay for it, then visit the bar. Jan is super fun and accommodating! She passes out pockcorn to guests to munch on while they drink. I'm not really sure what the negative posts about this place are all about. Who doesn't like a good time with locals and good brews? I don't think Jan tries to advertise herself as an upscale winery, with a misspelled bar name and all. Lighten up Tampa! This place is great.

This is a great mom and pop liquor store located in a strip plaza in Lutz. They have a solid selection of wine and spirits to choose from, the staff is always super friendly, and the prices are competitive with that of other liquor stores.This liquor store is also a bar. I haven't actually sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink however I have been in there and noticed that they do have karaoke and various other things going on. They're always seems to be a lively crowd and everyone seems to be having fun. If you need a place to pick up some wine or spirits or feel like chilling out in a small local bar I recommend giving this place a try.

This is a great little bar with a very good wine selection! They also sell liquor and have a nice little gourmet cheese selection. Do yourself a favor and try the Roaring Forties Blue Cheese from Australia, creamy and dreamy. The bar is small but they do have a few tables.

Jans Wine and Boos II is a great bar/ liquor store. They have Trivia on Thursday Nights and Karaoke on Saturdays. Everyone is very friendly, Bartenders and Customers (Regulars). If you are hungry while having a drink there they have a $10, $20 and $30 cheese and meat trays. Multiple yummy cheeses to pick from. Also have Boiled Peanuts, regular and cajun. Everything is reasonably priced. Nothing too expensive. SO MANY Craft beers to pick from. If you want to drink a bottle of wine you can walk around the bar to the package store and grab what you want. SO SO SO MANY wines to pick from. They have a HUGE selection!! Very clean bar and great atmosphere. Def. a place to go and hang out!! :)
