Jamaican Cuisine

Portions were large, but the restaurant itself was pretty run down. Not sure we'll go back but was worth a try for sure.

I ordered the jerk chicken and macaroni pie, both were pretty good. Lots of meat with the jerk chicken and it was very flavorful. Macaroni pie was nice and cheesey. This place doesn't get a 5/5 just because they were out of quiet a few menu items when I came , but I came later in the day when they were getting ready to close. The staff was very polite and nice. I would def eat here again.

Can i give no stars? Food is poorly flavored and over priced for what it is. Iv went 2 times giving it a 2nd Chance. Won't be going back. This place will be closed down soon if they keep this up. All ready looking forward to the new restaurant that will be in its place.

Had lunch with my wife here. The food had no taste or flavor. Food was disappointing and tasted NOTHING like traditional Jamaican food. The owner needs to reconsider this business or change the ingredients. Also thought it was over priced.

food is nasty and lacks flavor. did not taste like traditional jamaican cuisine at all. spent $18 on oxtails just to throw them in the trash.

Unfortunately I have no pictures of the food my stomach could not wait... It was my first time eating at this restaurant; such a cute place seems family owned which is always a good thing. The food was delicious; we had the jerk chicken and oxtail which came with a hefty amount of white rice, cabbage stir fry and fried plantains. Everything was full of flavor and hit the spot. We also go mac and cheese and beef Jamaican patty which were also GREAT. The Mac and cheese felt like a warm hug. Service was great we were helped my a gentleman, it's more of an order at the counter and sit if you're dining in rather than a full service. Regardless it was great. Always great to support a small business like this; price wise it was justifiable the amount of food that's given. Will most definitely be back with more people!!

Stop by this restaurant and enjoy yourselves some traditional savory oxtail. The meat will fall right off the bone right into your mouth. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I'm a big fan of seeing the food before I eat which is popular down in soflo, but I'm starting to realize that might be something south Florida Jamaican restaurants do because I haven't seen one in Tampa that displays it's food. Pass by this place and reactivate your tastebuds and thank me later, well I mean thank them.

Got two beef patties and a soda. crust was too tough and when biting into it the filling spilled out every where and was hot as holy hell. I burned my mouth tongue and finger. Then the soda came with a straw that was too short and got lost in the bottle. Not to mention it was. WARM. Hell to the no. Never coming back. I should have known when I saw the place was empty and all the employees were sitting in the dining area.

Food has been excellent. I've eaten here several times and it's my new favorite. Plenty of food for the price. Must give them a try. You'll be glad you did.

I enjoyed the goat and rice n peas. Only been open 6 months so far, and I believe they will improve.
