Great views, great food, great service...and even great vibes! everything you could possibly want on a beautiful afternoon in the Tampa Bay Area!! We had a party of 4 ...water views and some good music on a Sunday afternoon! Thank you Hula Bay for not disappointing!! We had the shrimp appetizer and salads, fish platter, and shrimp meal! I was too busy taking in the views to take pictures of the food! Sorry but it was all delicious!!

This location is being renovated because of the hurricane but they have outdoor seating.... at Duke's. So we didn't quite get the vibe we were hoping for. Also, the server said they ran out of gas so our food was delayed. It was extremely noisy so we could barely hear the server and vice versa. We ordered the nachos-DELICIOUS, crab bisque-SUPER DELICIOUS, conch fritters-OK, lobster fries-OK, haddock bites-OK, chicken sandwich-BLAND. The drinks were potent so no need for a 2nd. I would go back just for the crab soup, but they have soups of the day. Add that as a permanent menu item and I'm sold!

Surprised it got such low ratings! I thought the food, service, and atmosphere were 10/10 overall. Came here on a Sunday and we were able to sit by the water and they had live music! I was able to bring my dog too. I will definitely be back here. What I ordered: - Local Smoked Fish Dip- Spicy Tuna Nachos: Tuna poke, pickled jalapeño and habanero tobiko over wonton chips with wasabi aioli and kabayaki. - Mussels: Black mussels sautéed in wine, garlic, onion, tomato, herbs and lemon butter sauce. Great view and food. The staff was friendly & the vibes were it. I love the option to arrive by boat if you have a boat. Only problem is the live music on the weekend, if they sit you outside near the music it's extremely loud.

I made reservations at Hula Bay for my mother's 60th birthday. However, when my family and I arrived at the restaurant we were informed that Hula Bay was closed for renovations. As a result, we would have to eat at Duke's.Several members of my party (including myself) had previously reviewed the menu online and pre-selected entrees only to be informed that due to the renovations both restaurants were using the kitchen and as a result only select options from the menu were available. Which was a let down. Nonetheless, I selected a salad and the soup of the day which was a crab chowder. My mother and sister went with the fish tacos. While the soup was delicious, the other selections were average.After we placed our orders the waiter disappeared. The food was brought out by the kitchen staff however, we had no silverware or condiments. We physically had to flag our waiter down to get his attention. Afterwards, he again disappeared until it was time for the check. Unfortunately, I observed too many red flags to patronize this restaurant in the future.

After my third visit I have enough data to review. Service here is friendly but painfully slow on delivery of drinks and food. My most recent visit I went on a Tuesday for happy hour, arriving around 5:20. Water front seats (see pics) were great. Water came out quickly. The bar is a bit slow on their delivery, even with bottles and cans. Mixed drinks have very little alcohol in small plastic glasses. Better to stick to bottles, cans or wine.Dinner: Conch fritters are a big seller here during happy hour from 3-7p but can be hit or miss depending how long they are left in the fryer. Too long and they are chewy. Also tried shrimp tempura sushi and it was a bit off compared to a dedicated sushi place. The mahi-mahi sandwich is overpriced, as many have said. The menu says "market price" which generally means around $25 here. You get wedge fries that are pretty tasty and a small thimble of cole slaw that would be okay if this was the kids meal.The views here are amazing. There is one cat that roams inside the restaurant (Jan 2024). Dogs are welcome and there are almost always a number of them. All of Duke's is outside seating with most under cover. There are fans for hot periods.Parking on weekdays is generally widely available. As of January 2024 Hula Bay is being renovated so only Duke's is open. Bathrooms are in a nice air conditioned portable out front of the restaurant so use them before you climb the ramp.

The food was very average. The sushi didn't taste super fresh. The drinks were good but only well drinks are included for happy hour. The atmosphere is the best attribute and great views of the water. Staff was amazing and attentive.
