Hot Tuna Sushi Bar and Grille

Overall a good experience! I came to FL as a tourist and stayed with a friend who recommended Hot Tuna and raved about your happy hour. Even though the place looked busy, we were seated almost immediately! Good selection on the HH menu and the quality of the rolls was worth the price! I had two orders of salmon sashimi that never came, but it didn't matter since the two rolls I ordered were more than enough :) The overall noise level wasn't too loud which was nice so my friend and I could have a conversation during dinner. Will definitely come back during my next visit!

If searching for great happy hour price sushi, I think this restaurant will be your best choice. We were here for the happy hour. The happy hour time is Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7 pm. The place is packed with customers during that hours. We were lucky to have a table during our visit. We got conch, octopus and scallops delight sashimi to start. I like to scallops delight because it is chop scallops with sauce mixed in. Delicious. I recommend the scallops delight. For the sushi we have are spicy tuna, Gator, Arizona, Eel roll. Spicy tuna is good but gator roll is the best. The gator roll has tuna and yellowtail combo with crunchy chip with smelt and sweet aioli. The Arizona roll yellowtail with smelt. Eel roll is sweet and nice. Service is good. The roll send to table is no wait. The fish meat also good quantity in the roll.

I do like this place a lot . I love how they have different styles of caviar for your sushi plate or on the side and their fishes always fresh a cute little small spot to go to. It's good for a lunch date or dinner.

We were a little concerned because they were slow for a Sunday at 3 PM. Well, it was St. Patrick's Day so, if there was going to be a slow cuisine, it would probably be sushi.We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and the price...not super expensive. I'd probably pass on the egg rolls but would recommend any of the sushi we tried including both the regular and specialty rolls. We will be back.Good service, Jared our waiter knew the menu well. The host annoyed me by sitting three other tables including a family with a burgeoning brat right next to us when the entire restaurant was otherwise 100% empty. Not sure of the logic of that.

Server was extremely attentive. Asked for no krab stick in my roll due to cutting out sugar, she realized it would be in my sashimi as well and came back to see if I'd like to substitute it. Great customer service, came to check on us to make sure everything was going well. Food was very fresh and fantastic tasting. We will definitely be back even though it's almost 40 minutes from home. Ambiance was nice, place had a cool fish tank, too. The beer we ordered came with a frozen glass, too. Great detail.

My granddaughter was visited by her girlfriend in upstate NY and looking to relocate here away from snow. She was going back and we invited them to lunch. They chose Hot Tuna.We arrived about 11:30 on a Tuesday. The place was busy but we were seated right away. Looking over the luncheon specials. My granddaughter chose the Classic Combo with the Tempura Bagel Roll and Florida Roll. Her friend was not a Sushi person so she picked the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. My wife went for the Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Bento Box. I'm not keen on Sushi either so I chose the Mexican Roll & Buddha's Delight.I asked for Miso Soup with mine and everyone else had Ginger Salad. These came very quickly and were delicious. My wife and I shared each other's starters. We barely finished with these and our main dishes. My rolls came with a tiny bit of Wasabi. I immediately asked for bigger portion. My daughter and her friend both really enjoyed their meals. My wife loved her meal. I enjoyed my Rolls, liberally smeared with Wasabi. It was hot and opened my sinuses. However after tasting my wife's food, I will definitely get that next time!And of course the "girls" had to have the Fried Cheesecake and Ice Cream for dessert, which also evoked many "Yums."Excellent food, great service by our server Aloha ( yes that's correct), and nice Ambiance, highly suggested. We will be back!

Sushi is good but their happy hour menu is where it's at! One of the best in the areas. 1/2 off appetizers, bogo martinis, and under $5 wine. Can't beat it for the price.

Hot Tuna's happy hour sushi made me really happy! Weekday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, they serve a list of happy hour selection. From the classic rolls page, we ordered spicy tuna, Arizona, Gator and Eel roll. They were all very good. I especially liked Gator and Arizona. The sushi rices were properly seasoned. The fish and the ingredient were fresh.The dressing, the rolling technique, the presentation and the size of the sushi were all pleasing me. We also had three order of sashimi -Conch, octopus and scallop delight. Them were delicious-fresh flavor with perfect texture. And the scallop delight was minced scallop with seasoning sauce. It was an interesting dish, -adding extra flavor and color for the scallop. The service was friendly and very efficient. Despite the busy Friday night dinner crowd, the operation moved smoothly. We enjoyed our dinner there leaving the restaurant with happy stomach, leftover sushi for late night snacks and not so damage credit card bill.

Their sushi and service are consistently good! My favorite rolls are the pink lady & tempura Japanese bagel roll. Also a fan of the smoked salmon nigiri. They have great lunch & happy hour specials!

Excellent place, highly recommend everything we ordered. Great presentation, prices and environment. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff helpful, friendly and efficient. Very clean place overall also which is important to us.
