Good food but not great The General Tso's chicken is pretty good. Everything else is passable. Good place if you're hungry and need a belly full.

Our first order here was a large one and it was very unfortunate for us. The pork was dry and tough, the shrimp soft and mushy. The egg rolls had been left in the fryer for way too long and were difficult to chew through and the lo mein was sweet. We usually give places a second chance but absolutely would not in this case.

We were pleasantly surprised. We've had a bunch of bad local Chinese take-out since moving here a few years ago.Since COVID-19, we've been trying to find some new local places to do take-out at least once a week - and Hong Kong came up about 6 minutes from our house. We called in an order from the menu posted on their Yelp reviews (thank you, Yelpers!). The woman took the order, confirmed everything, told us the cost and how long it would take. We were quoted 20 minutes, and I headed in for pickup a few minutes before that time, and they were just finishing the order. The place is tucked into the corner of a small shopping center and isn't very big or much to look at. It appears that they have recently installed a tall plexiglass wall, with a small sliding door, that stretches the length of the counter.Staff was wearing masks, asked my phone number and handed me my order all bundled up in a brown paper bag.We each got an order of Steamed Dumplings ($5.35). There were eight large homemade dumplings, perfectly cooked and filled with a meaty filling. They were delicious!I ordered a large Shrimp Mei Fun ($8.50). I received a takeout container packed with thin noodles, plenty of shredded cabbage, carrots, and sliced onion - and WAY MORE shrimp than I expected for the price. It was flavorful with plenty of garlic and ginger. My husband ordered General Tso's Chicken Combination ($8.35). The Pork Egg Roll was crunchy, not greasy, and had plenty of filling. General Tso's Chicken was moist; the sauce had a nice bite to it. He requested White Rice instead of Pork Fried Rice, and it was fresh and light. We were impressed with the service, the amount, quality, and price of the food - this might just be our go-to for takeout Chinese food.

After craving dumplings and sweet and sour chicken all morning, I read some reviews and chose to order with them via beyondmenu.com for lunch. After about 10 minutes I called to confirm the order had been received and they told me yes and that my food was ready as well. I arrived about 20 minutes later to find the business closed by the health department and no one inside despite speaking to someone earlier. I called Beyond Menu and was immediately connected to someone without a hold, they cancelled my order and refunded the charges (they are awesome, five star!). Extremely disappointing and concerning, that not only was I nearly scammed but also that they've had enough infractions with the health department to get shut down in broad daylight.

I order from here every so often, usually from UberEats and have generally enjoyed my orders. Today, I ordered sweet and sour chicken with white rice (for delivery). Everything smelled and looked good when I opened it -- until I was about 3 bites in and found an ANT or some other small type insect in my rice. I submitted the issue on UberEats and for transparency am posting here as well. Really disappointed.

Worst Chinese food I have ever ate.. the "yellow" fried rice was horrible. I wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted my money. Lesson learned!

Ordered Moo Shu Pork, an eggroll and pork Lo Mein. The "pancakes" for the Moo Shu were literally eggroll wrappers, still in the original bag. No effort to heat them and place them in a proper to go container. The Lo mein was greasy and the filling of the eggroll was gluey and inedible. So disappointed.

I've ordered from the Pasadena Hong Kong for a long time. Love their, chicken in black bean sauce and then the vegetables in garlic sauce. Tonight i ordered the chicken, which was ok, and the Mongolian beef. I had a hard time eating it. Perhaps they had a new chef, who knows, but the beef, vegetables and sauce were so sweet, like someone through a cup of sugar in it. I couldn't eat it. I love Hong Kong, won't stop ordering from them, but next time, I'll make sure to talk to the chef first.
