Homestyle Barbecue

I love discovering new BBQ places. I was driving through this area and noticed it was nearby and highly reviewed. It's like the BBQ Gods were leading me here.From the outside it doesn't look like much and thankfully I never judge a book by its cover. As soon as I stepped out of my car I could smell the sweet smell of the BBQ smokers. That aroma was all throughout the air. It's what I imagine heaven would smell like.I went with the rib dinner w mac-n-cheese and baked beans. I would've eaten here but there's really no option for that other than in your car so off I went. The smell of BBQ in the takeaway container was permeating throughout my car. So much so that I had to start digging in. I couldn't wait any longer.The ribs were really good. I'm not sure if the meat fell off the bone or the bone fell off the meat. Either way each bite was bursting with smokiness. Such great taste and the quality and tenderness of the meat was spot on. The beans were a hit as well. Each bite had a sweetness to it except the last one, only because it was the last one. The mac-n-cheese was not good. It was what I would imagine a dish that had been sitting out for several hours to be like. I couldn't get past the 2nd bite.I had hoped to try the banana pudding but they didn't have any. Insert sad face here.Overall great experience. I would recommend this place if you're looking for great BBQ.

Ribs and chicken off the hook tender and moisture. Ribs slow cooked so long the cartilage started to get soft. Mac and cheese along with potato salad also great and the homestyle bbq sauce had some nice kick. Brisket sandwich seemed more like pulled pork style vs the chunks I like and the bottom bun was saturated. Baked beans were ok but wasn't a big fan of the cinnamon added. Will definitely be back for more ribs amd chicken before we leave vacation. Young man and his mom (I think) were super nice too.

I have passed this place for years but never made it when they were open on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. A few Saturdays ago I was passing by after showing a house and that delicious smoker scent permeated the air, so I knew I had struck gold. Pulled into the parking lot and walked up to the takeout counter window. Since we're doing the lovely social distancing, they had a table in front of the takeout window to make sure we were 6 feet apart. Since it was my first time, the very nice woman who works there was very helpful. They were out of pulled pork:( but she steered me to the 1/2 slab of ribs and the smoked chicken. I got them as meals, so I could try their mac & cheese and baked beans. The nice owner gave me generous sides of both their house sauce and their special mustard based sauce. And she even walked my to go order out to my car when It was ready. Got it home and my husband and I agreed that everything was yummy. Good amount of smoke on the ribs and chicken. Lots of meat. Excellent quality. Tender and moist. Both sides were tasty. Easily enough to feed 4 people.Mac & cheese was super cheesy and tasted homemade and the beans had the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Those ribs with the mustard sauce were some of the best we've had in a long time. Stop in and get some to go and you'll be happy you did :-)

Barbecue just doesn't get any better than this. The rib meat just falls off the bones. The sweet barbecue sauce is sweet and tangy and thick and gooey. Did I mention the barbecue beans? Oh my goodness. If I ate nothing else but those beans, I'd be happy as Larry. The coleslaw was fresh, not too sweet, super crunchy, and uber delicious. As always Homestyle BBQ is a treat!

My quest for good Bbq in the Clearwater area has finally ended thanks to Homestyle Barbecue!The hospitality here is outstanding, the food is delicious, and it beats driving all the way to St. Petersburg for a rib dinner. What more can I ask for? I've tried numerous Bbq spots in Clearwater in hopes of finding the perfect pulled pork sandwich or tender ribs but none compare to Homestyle Barbecue. On my first visit to Homestyle Bbq the owner went above and beyond when it came to customer service by offering my friend and I samples of the pulled pork, ribs, and baked beans. We both ended up ordering the combo platter since we could not decide on which meat to choose with a side of Mac and cheese. The food was fresh and delicious beyond our expectations. If I could, I would give this review six stars solely based off of how well we were treated after telling the owner it was our first time trying their food!

Great bbq in a small little place! the sides are delicious. i hate green beans and even those were good. the staff is super friendly and legit real people. I was happy to make friends with them! Def a spot I will continue to go to.

Price was very reasonable. Everything else was nasty. Mac and cheese was cold didn't have any taste, bbq chicken was dry. No outdoor seating. Wouldn't recommend this place.

First, the ladies are amazing and really made me and my family feel comfortable with their amazing customer service!Second, the food looked amazing and tasted even better! My wife, son and I will be back many more times in the future! Also, thank you for your service to the owner. As an Army Veteran, I appreciate your service and servicing the community with some amazing BBQ!

Worth going out of the way for. Serving very authentic bbq food. Cash only but is still worth the inconvenience.

Good barely okay and below average. Everything precooked then microwave heated to order. What gets me how impersonal the service is, you order and they don't accommodate anything special about your order, then they shut the window so you can seat your ass till they call you. It's like you're begging for their microwaved food which isn't worth buying the first time not alone come for a return. Potatoes salad has lots mayo
