I stopped in for happy hour and was thoroughly impressed! The drink prices are fantastic, making it a great spot for an affordable yet quality experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, though it's on the quieter side, very family friendly.The food was truly outstanding. Do yourself a favor and order the goat cheese chicken dip--it's absolutely unforgettable, and I've been craving it ever since! The hogfish sliders are fresh and delicious!On top of the amazing food, the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. If you're looking for a spot with delicious food, great drinks, and a laid-back vibe, this place is a must-visit!

Service is always just a touch slow lately - not sure if it's understaffed, but there's always a wait for the drink refills, the check to be dropped off, the add-on requests like a side of mustard or something to be brought to the table, etc. But the food is so good we'll keep coming back! I actually can't eat much on their menu due to a shellfish allergy and cross contamination risk, but the strawberry salad is so good - that lemon vinaigrette is something I'd want to bottle and bring home. I've added chicken before, but just as is without protein is good as they have a half and a full size portion option. My boyfriend usually gets the market fish blackened, this time being red drum. He also has enjoyed the hog fish and the grouper here before. His parents joined us this time, with his mom getting the Walt's burger and his dad getting the bottom of the bay po-boy. Those were some stuffed potato rolls! Plenty of food; half was easily filling enough for lunch.

We had a lovely lunch here after walking around the Dunedin market. We sat outside on the patio and had great service! Really enjoyed the variety of local beers they have on tap, I ordered one from 7venth Sun brewed just down the road. We started with the blue crab and goat cheese dip, which was heavenly, especially with the bacon jam. For lunch, I had the fried grouper sandwich, which was crispy and perfectly cooked. We left full and happy! Will definitely be back!!

We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. The seating was spacious and comfortable. As soon as we were seated, our server Tim, approached us and introduced himself. He then explained the specials and gave us a moment to make our decision. The food was delicious! We had the fried green tomatoes and the clam strip basket. We observed the manager on duty touching tables, including ours, which is a courtesy that many don't do anymore.

We were seated immediately at the enclosed patio. Temperature perfect. Menu was varied with good beer selection. I had the hog sliders which was a house special and they were delicious - light and seasoned perfectly. Also enjoyed a cup of the bay soup - similar to clam chowder with more fish. Waitress and server were attentive without being intrusive.

We wanted to go somewhere that served whole fish. We found this restaurant and decided to try it. I give this place 4 stars only because the amount of time it takes to get drinks was too long. I would give 3.5 for this if I could. I ordered an espresso martini and my boyfriend ordered an old fashion. It took about 10 mins before we got them. Our appetizer of calamari came out before our drinks. However the food was good. We ordered an order of 2 crab claws with butter. They were pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the whole fish which was snapper and it was really well prepared and very good. It was served over clams and muscles. I ordered the blue cab crusted grouper with fried grits and key lime slaw. We really wanted to try the eggnog cheesecake, but unfortunately they ran out.

Amazing service from a friendly team of professionals. I had a 1/2 strawberry salad which was delicious and the dressing on the side. Perfect. I also had the grouper sandwich which had the perfect amount of tartar sauce on the roll. The beer selection was vast and there's a brew for every taste. We definitely would recommend and would come back next time we are in town.

Good service and great food. Chose Hog Island Fish Camp based on Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed.We were quickly seated on a busy Sunday evening. Visiting family in the area and we were in the mood for seafood and wanted something near the water. Ordered the blackened grouper, garlic mashed potatoes, great beans, and the key line Cole slaw. Everything and I mean everything was delicious. Some of the best Cole slaw I've ever had! Husband ordered the Captains plate with fried shrimp, grouper and oysters with fried grit cakes. He also raved about his meal.I recommend this place for good food and service!

Grouper sandwich was the best I've ever had! We'll be back! Coconut shrimp was excellent as well
