Heros Downtown Subs and Salads

This sandwich shop IS a hero to me! This is a classic old fashioned deli with basic deli sandwiches. The kicker for us vegetarian and vegan eaters is that there is an option to for all plant based meats and cheeses! The special plant based meat is gluten free and soy free too so zero excuses not to check it out. I've never seen this type of plant based deli and I don't think other sandwich shop in this county offers it so it's worth a visit.My 2 biggest issues is the bread. It was standard deli bread but too soft and a little bland. I would suggest getting better bread supplier. Also this was a great to-go option bc This is a no frills sandwich shop so it doesn't have the atmosphere to enjoy your meal.

Jan 2025 update: very disappointed to learn that once the vegan meat runs out, they will not be re-ordering it. It's extremely disappointing that there are little to no vegan options around town, and when they do pop up, they're short lived.

Came to this place to try somewhere new. Was not disappointed. My husband had a meatball sub on a wrap and I had the I.V on a wrap. I had it made the Hero's way without onions. It was the best sandwich I have had. With the smoked relish, oil and vinegar and Italian seasoning it was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who likes the fixins on their sandwiches.The two people who were working there Turk and Tiffanie were the nicest and and so respectful. I also recommend trying a cupcake for dessert afterwards. The shop also has a nice seating area inside so that you can comfortably eat and if you have children it has one of those free library stands inside.Definitely try this place you will not be disappointed. Also for parking if you park in front Sims park by the splash pad area there is an entry from behind so you do not have to enter from the storefront on Main Street.

I. V. SubDO NOT ORDER from this place. I Ordered I. V. Sub and found a hair inside the sub. I was immediately disgusted threw it in the trash. After that did not have much of an appetite. I will not be ordering from here again

Best Italian sub I have had in a long time. Pasta salad was good also. Highly recommend place, great location in downtown area.

Nice little deli right on main street in NPR. I've had lunch here a few times lately and they are just consistently great. I really like the club sub but everything I see coming over the counter looks really good. The staff is really friendly and it's always spotless inside. One of my favorite spots for a quick lunch.

New to Florida Great spot daughter and I ordered a great turkey sandwich. Good service, quick, and great quality meats, tomatoes minced up nicely. I would recommend this sandwich shop to everyone. And the book box in the front was fantastic for my little one reasons to keep coming back to burrow and exchange. Thanks again for great service

Had the Halligan (Cuban) and it was excellent. Very friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend.

I usually love it here, and the food is always good and the staff are pretty friendly. I always get the same thing, the trauma alert, but this time the sandwich seemed different and it was definitely at the very least missing the buffalo sauce. It didn't seem like I got the right sandwich so I had my fiancé take it back to the counter to fix it and they insisted the sandwich was fine. My fiancé tried to get them to understand and they weren't overly mean or anything, but again insisted it was the right sandwich and that it looked fine. To me, it seemed like they didn't really look at it, but I wasn't standing at the counter, I was at a table right next to it. I ended up eating the sandwich anyway, it was good, but it just wasn't what I ordered. I loved it here, but after being gaslit, I don't think I'll be back.

Absolutely delicious Italian sub. Very friendly atmosphere. I have no words to say as It was just very good.
