I was looking to buy chicken thighs for a curry, so I decided to visit Heights Meat Market for some fresh, quality meat.While there is parking around the market, it can be a bit of a hassle if there are already 3-4 people shopping.Upon entering, I interacted with the server to discuss different chicken options. Unfortunately, the chicken thighs were sold out, so I opted for chicken breasts instead. Besides their meat selection, they also offer a variety of sauce rubs for enhancing your dishes.The quality of the meat was excellent, and I appreciated the reasonable prices. Being a family-owned business, Heights Meat Market is a great place to buy premium meats.

It's never ceases to amaze me the decisions some proprietors make, at the expense of their business. My last trip in to pick up various meats, for a BBQ, I noticed they were selling some chefs knifes that looked interesting and I purchased a couple. I believe I spent between 150-200 for the both of them. It turns out the knives were not interesting, didn't work particularly well, and the blade rusted immediately upon contact with water, and would not wipe clean. So I took them back to return them and even said she could go ahead and simply issue store credit. Clerk calls the owner and let's me know he said he wouldn't do either. Poor decision. Local establishment not treating the locals very well. Doesn't make sense to me. Wild Fork it is I guess for me, going forward.

The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Great selection of meats. Took the porterhouse home for a Christmas Eve treat, for my wife and I. Absolutely delicious, the marbling and tenderness of the meat had us saying "Happy Birthday Jesus!" We'll definitely be back.

If you didn't already know.. this place is full of quality meat of all shapes and prices. You can't go wrong or not find something. All sorts of different cuts of beef, as well as a few other items. A lot of spices to also choose from & you can also try them for free at the counter.The service was super helpful, offering ideas of how to cook the meat or the spices/sauces to use.It's a bit pricier than Publix, but hey - shop small and it was yum!

Very cool establishment and butchery featuring rare game meat and custom cuts. Store is clean and accessible. The staff I met was friendly and very personable. I feel this would be a great place for a true meat smoker/griller to a novice just learning, to someone buying the gift of raw animal.Located in the up and coming Heights neighborhood, it is easy to find and surrounded by the new 'cool' in Tampa. Parking is a bit of a challenge given the location on an intersection, but overall not a problem. Prices are appropriate for the meat you are purchasing and this isn't cheap butcher scraps. From Wygu to Ostrich and everything in between. Give them a shot the next time you need that rare cut to smoke or grill!

I go there about once a month and buy various different types of meat. To cook for my wife and I . we're only eating for two so a little bit of meat goes a long way .The meat is always high-quality and you know what you're getting a great tasting piece of meat. From the pork to the chicken and beef and exotic meats . The customer service is always on point and friendly. And if you have any questions, there are more than willing to help you out how to cook it or flavor it and if you want a special cut of meat they will get it for you if they can. I love this place
