Hawkeye's New York Pizza and Pasta

Pros:They are open on Sundays till 9 and have lots of parking.Good customer service.When selling per slice, the slices they give you are much bigger than comparable independent pizzerias. I'd say the pie would be at least 18-20 inches in diameter. Most slices from other places are 14-16 inches pies.The vegetables are a nice cut and fresh on the Supreme. Other places cut them too small or don't put veggies on a la carte slices.Cons:Their specials for individual slices are only for lunch till 3 pm. Most places have some sort of all day deal involving 2 slices/drink for $7-8.My meal was $13 plus tax for 1 Supreme slice, 1 meat lovers slice ,and 1 17 oz Sprite.They have 5-6 booths/tables,but I'd say most of their business come from takeout/delivery.No one dined in when I went it on Sunday at 630 pm.Overall: This is a pretty good NY Pizza place In North Tampa. Better than Taste of NY And Westshore and similar to Fratellis/Hot Rocks.

I was looking for some pizza and wings for Superbowl Sunday, but not from a corporate place. I like NY style pizza and did a quick Yelp search and this lace popped up. I was able to browse their menu online and place my order. I ended up getting an order of churros, a medium supreme pizza, a medium pepperoni pizza, and an order of 12 honey BBQ wings.Online experience was easy and I got text message updates for when my order was received, started, and ready. I did it as a future pickup and it was a breeze. Staff was nice and quickly got my order when I walked up to the counter and gave them my name. The food was pretty good. First, the pizzas were hot and fresh and the dough was thin and cooked well NY style. I do wish they had a bit more sauce, but that's a personal preference. I can't recall, but I'm sure you can modify your orders if needed. The wings were good overall, but the breading was a bit of a letdown with the BBQ sauce making the breading taste kind of like uncooked dough. They were still decent so I ate them all. The churros were the highlight. They were crunchy on the outside and slightly doughy inside with a type of cannoli filling that was really good. The drizzled chocolate at a dollar extra wasn't really worth it though.Overall, I really liked their pizza and would order from them again. Much better than the chain pizzas in the area.

The food didn't even last long enough to take photos. Man this place is GREAT! We ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza, chicken parm sub and a chicken roll All of us rated 10/10. Definitely will be back!

Pizza was thin and good fold in half to eat crust. My NY born hubby gave it a 5 star. Topping evenly spread, sauce not too much or too little. Quick easy order on website- with text alerts that it was ready. I want to pull a star for the 8.99 garden salad (the caprese was 12$) that was ridiculously small, but the pizza was good and it's hard to find good pizza round here! Churros were OK - prob delicious if I wasn't full from the pizza! Yelp reviews hit the mark!Edit: Corrected the price of the salad to make sure the story is right since the business response seems to focus on that rather than the + review...

Such friendly service and amazing pizza right here in my neighborhood!It smells so good that I forgot to take a picture before I start eating it Lol. Check it out!

Tried Hawkeye's New York Style Pizza for the first time and my kids and I enjoyed it. We ordered a medium pizza that was half cheese and half pepperoni. The slices were big enough for me, my 8 yr old, 5 yr old and 2 year old. The dough and crust were thin the way I like it. They were generous with the amount of pepperoni z I also had a Sicilian slice of pizza. I think it had something else in mind. It was much thicker than what I was looking and the bottom was a bit to toasty for my liking. Overall, I was impressed and will return in the future. The prices are reasonable. The service was quick. They were very welcoming. The pizza was flavorful.

The customer service alone is a reason to come back! The food is absolutely amazing. The people are so welcoming and patient. We felt at home eating there. We drove 20min away and were absolutely blown away by this place.

It was good and good price . The family deals are good . I will recommend . The lady the helps us through the phone was very nice that's why I decided to drive from Ybor to there . Great customer service

This is a no frills pizza shop but the food is excellent. We had the pizza and calzone. The pizza was very good and the calzone was STUFFED with cheese. Excellent and welcoming staff work here. A little hard to find as the pizza is in large letters and Hawkeye is very small. Would recommend for pizza!

Beware of their fraudulent pricing practices... Beware of being cussed out by Alex an alleged manager...I have order from them a handful of times, and last night I called for the same order as always.. But I was made aware of overcharging for the same amount of product and it got worse.. Let me explain. They wanted to charge me double for a whole topping because I wanted the whole topping to be placed on one side.. So double price for the same amount of product..Upon leaving a dissatisfied review, Alex left me a voice mail to discuss.. Little did I know I would be accused of being too drunk to answer those calls.. When I called him back.. Hadn't had a drop though.. Now that allegation came after he acknowledged the over charge, called ME a cheap fucker for catching it, along with much additional cussing at my wife as well..If I can get in touch with corporate I'm certainly going to try and get Alex fired.. That guy is not fit to work for anyone.. Also I was informed they don't use real cheese.. So do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.. There's plenty of better places..
