On a trip to Tampa, I was on the hunt for a great food truck and definitely found one. Hasta La Tambora was checking all the boxes in regards to flavor, awesome service and overall comforting food. I was indecisive as everything looked great.. The gentleman taking my order recommended El Matatan Patacon and I'm glad I took him up on that rec. It was delicious, talk about burst of flavors in your mouth from every bite! I also ordered a beef empanada and it was crispy, flavorful and had just the right amount of filling. If yall are in the area, try this gem out! You will not be disappointed!

Came here for a morir sonando which is a Dominican Creamsicle. It was very good and sweet. The person working was very nice. I need to come back and order more food because it sounds so good. I want to try their El Matatan Patacon. Located in the Empire Food Plaza. There are plenty of outside seating(picnic tables) and inside as well(A/C). Perfect for a Latin evening under the stars with music playing. There are a lot of other food trucks surrounding this area in the plaza also for a great variety of food.

*New restaurant alertHasta La Tambora loosely translated =Dominican All The Way!! Dominican food made with love...and that's exactly what my order consisted of:*El Matatan steak (sandwiched in plantains)Inside the Plantain was a green tomato, radicchio, fried cheese, steak, special saucesAn Orange cream drink +Chinola Passion fruit juice drink. Chicken-cheese empanadas. 1 beef and a second order of the chicken queso to go based on the flakiness of the crust as well as the hot n ready bravado bestowed upon me. So fresh, they had to place them on a clothes pin to let them cool down.:) Everything I ordered was really good and I'm telling everyone now this will be 1 of my new weekend food run spots. I came here hungry/on empty but that's not how I'm going home.Make sure you try them out!

I've been here twice and both times was a solid meal. If you want authentic Dominican food - try them! The chimi was on point and their tostones were great. We also had a fritura plate and it was realllly good. The chinola juice was in a cute capri pack and tasted great but I'm a sucker for it. One star off because they had ran out of a few items when we arrived and it was pretty early in the evening just a hour or two after they opened. I would still go back and try some other items. Great spot to try with family or a big groups. Plenty of seating and options from other trucks in the lot.
