We came here in the afternoon after an appointment. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambiance, with beautiful paintings, a bar and a decorative wall to take pictures. We ordered chicha morada, which was absolutely delicious! The French fries were really good too, my son loves to eat them. The lomo Saltado was missing flavor and the rice was a little too hard. My husband mentioned that his bistec was very hard to chew and too raw, he left half of it on the plate. Maybe it was the time of the day but we were a little disappointed with the food, because this restaurant gets good reviews especially the food. We have to give it another try at another time and see if we have a better food experience. Service was good.

I firmly believe the places where the service barely speaks English are the absolute best. But I believe everyone understands good food and we had no probllamas.We got the Tostones Acevichados $12 to start and loved them, crunchy on the outside and fresh tart ceviche. We thought they were a bit small for the price but we were glad when the Lomo Saltado $18 came. The portion was great for sharing, we felt it was a little on the salty side but still left like happy & stuffed llamas who had to waddle out the door.

Great Food and Service, but Some Policies Feel PettyWe've been loyal customers of Happy Fish for quite some time now, coming in weekly and spending upwards of $100 each visit. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always good--something we really appreciate and is the reason we keep coming back.However, there's one small issue that keeps nagging at us: the extra charges for things like a little additional sauce. Charging $1.50 for something so minor feels unnecessary, especially when customers like us consistently support the restaurant and value the overall experience.While I understand that policies are in place for a reason, it would be nice to see some flexibility or accommodations for loyal patrons who regularly invest in the restaurant. It's the little things that go a long way in making guests feel valued, and this policy, unfortunately, comes across as a bit petty.That said, we love the food, the atmosphere, and the service, and we'll continue to come back. I'm just hoping management might reconsider this kind of policy, as it would make the experience even better for customers like us.
