Haiku is a great spot to grab sushi in downtown Tampa. I have been here dozens of times and the food never Disappoints. The cocktails are great here too, and honestly I think their lychee martini might be the best I've had anywhere. The restaurant is decorated very creatively; I personally love the fake tree inside the restaurant. The space is very trendy and has the perfect aesthetic for taking instagram pictures. I have been here many times and the service can sometimes be slow, but overall I have had a very pleasant experience here.

Was pretty underwhelming honestly.Came with a couple friends on a Saturday night and thankfully we had a reservation because it was pretty busy. We were sat down promptly, but the tables are very close to each other so it feels a bit claustrophobic. The service was horrible. We were waiting for our server to show up for so long that we had to ask one of the other workers to go get them. Once we finally ordered, the food took almost an hour. Also they managed to get my order wrong twice?? The first time I got a salmon roll instead of the ahi tuna roll I ordered. My server apologized and said he would put the right order into the kitchen but when I finally got my food it was wrong AGAIN?? I got another variation of a salmon roll instead, at this point I was really hungry so I gave up. When the bill came I could see that they canceled my ahi tuna roll for some reason and added this one on instead.. I wonder if they were out of ahi tuna. I would think if you can't make what I order you ask me what I want instead, not just replace it with random food. The roll I ended up with was kinda bad, it had pickles on it which put me off. Weird combo.I did try some of my friend fried chicken rice which was actually really good, so maybe this place just can't make sushi.

Here's the real Haiku:1. Went to a restaurant Drink order took thirty five minutes Left shortly after2. Restaurant very busy Need more wait staff on Friday Guests leave very sober. Happy hour Lechee Martini had little to no alcohol. The old fashioned was very weak. Only order beer. But drinks took 35 minutes to get. Literally one minute after eating our appetizer, dinner came. Should be spaced out more. Short rib was too salty. Ramen was excellent and sushi delicious. Vibes and ambiance A+

I was really excited to try Haiku as it was a new place that was recommended when we were in Tampa. The ambiance was beautiful with the greenery and neon lights. We were sat at a table by the bathrooms and unfortunately it smelled of urine every time someone came out of the bathroom. It was a full restaurant so we couldn't switch our seats. While the food was good, I just couldn't get past the smell to enjoy the dinner. It is something that they can easily improve on though, so I am still giving them 3 stars!

The family took my son for his birthday and we had an amazing time. Folks don't know that they are open for lunch so we had the place almost completely to ourselves. The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere and decor is great! I don't know how their service is during peak time, but lunch was a pleasure. Their Chicken Ramen was AMAZING!

Walking into the restaurant mmediately impressed by how beautifully decorated everything was for the spooky season! The ambiance really set the mood for a fun night out. We had a larger group, but we were seated quickly and efficiently, with no wait at all. To make it even better, they offered us a seasonal special drink right away, which was a nice touch. Our server, Patty, was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly attentive, always making sure our waters were refilled and that our orders were taken with care. She gave spot-on recommendations for some of their popular menu options, and everything she suggested was a hit.The real highlight was when Patty heard we were celebrating a class trip. She immediately brought over sake shots for the group, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It really made our experience feel special.Thank you to Patty and the team for going above and beyond to cater to our group! We had an amazing time and can't wait to return!

Stopped in here with a friend and sat at the bar. The inside of this spot is super cute l, has a lot of decor, and we loved it. We didn't order much, but everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the octopus and the tuna and salmon tar tar. I loved how the tar tar was on top of the tempura seaweed, super tasty!! We will come back again and try more next time !

Haiku in Tampa was an awesome choice! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by super friendly hosts/hostesses and a stunning interior that sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. The ambiance is chic and very Instagrammable. Now, let's talk about the food, simply delicious! My friend and I decided to share the udon noodle dish and a variety of sushi rolls, and every bite was a burst of flavor! What impressed us the most, though, was the impeccable service. The staff at Haiku are incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They even have a photographer who roams around capturing moments, adding a unique touch to the dining experience.

Visited this place on a Friday night before a show. Fortunately we had a reservation because the place was very busy. We were seated promptly. The restaurant was very loud, could barely hear across the table. Service was good. Our server made good suggestions and food arrived quickly. Between the two of us, we shared the edamame, wood fired octopus, kung pao lettuce wrap, spicy tuna roll, and the torched hamachi roll. The sushi rolls were mediocre, nothing special. The lettuce used for the kung pap lettuce wrap was Romain. I wished they had used the butter lettuce so it's easier to eat. The wood fired octopus was probably my favorite dish of the night. It was tender and flavorful. Even though the food was decent but being so loud in there, made it difficult to have a conversation, so I'm not sure I would visit again for dinner.
