My turn to buy lunch while on the way to my friends house for a meeting. He suggested the Gulf Coast Sourdough Sandwich House for sandwiches. It was a good call, the food was good, I got a nice loaf a bread for the house and some hummus for the wife. Sourdough also happens to be the only bread I buy.I was greeted right away by a cheerful young lady that was super helpful in navigating my choices. All the wiches come standard with tomato, red onion and spinach. But there are a nice variety of additives and condiments available to pick and choose from. A variety of cheeses, interesting flavorfull toppings and flavored sourdough breads like rosemary, jalapeño, garlic, sirracha, asiago and others. They serve breakfast and lunch 6 days a week. I got an Italian for myself which I loved. The flavors were perfectly balanced and I was content and full by the last bite. My wife had a turkey sandwich with hummus as a condiment and she was delighted. There are some dessert and snack options, most containing sourdough. The sourdough Cinnamon rolls are popular. There are a few odds and ends sold in containers like kimchi, sauerkraut, curtido, hummus, spicy pepper relish and pizza dough. The loaf of bread I bought was excellent. I highly recommend this shop, come get ya some!

Here's the deal: clearly, locals love it.But lots of people also love McDonald's.Hive-mind popularity is not an indication of quality.Their patrons' palates are not refined enough to recognize how far behind this place is in terms of standards.Want a chewy doughball with hardly any cinnamon or frosting? They've got it. We waited at least 20 minutes for two sandwiches, one of which was the buffalo chicken. I assumed the chicken was being freshly battered, deep-fried, and prepared to deliver a crispy, juicy, mouth-watering, finger-licking good treat.Instead, what I got was a hastily made sandwich, crafted with the finesse of a drunken college fry cook. It was smashed to bits, likely made with par-baked, frozen Tyson chicken strips--no crunch, no flavor, and barely any buffalo sauce.Uninspired, delayed, and completely off the mark. Why is the sourdough loaf so dense, gummy, and anemic-looking? It does have a nice sour bite, and when toasted at home, it becomes edible--that's its only saving grace.Scholars will be studying Tampa's fascination with this place for decades.

Sunday 9/15/2024Came across this spot after seeing their cinnamon rolls and decided to dive even deeper into the menu which I'm glad I did.I got the buffalo ranch chicken sandwich $11, cheesecake bread pudding $4, and 2x cinnamon rolls $6. - the buffalo sandwich was pretty good but also a lil pricey (in my eyes). I think more sauce and crispier chicken would've made this near perfect but as is it's still good.- The cinnamon rolls were decent. Not the best I've had but I think they're worth trying.- The cheesecake bread pudding was a very unique and creative dessert that I've never thought of and it turned out being quite decent.Overall, this was a pretty good experience and I would probably get all the same items again in my next potential visit. This is a spot I would come back to and recommend.

The best bread & sandwiches in the Tampa Bay Area. Special mention their cinnamon rolls... to die for! All their breads are delicious which always makes it a hard decision. You can also find their pizza dough making your favorite pizzas in the Tampa Bay Area. Cute little store front with all your bread needs.

My wife and I love having sourdough for breakfast, so I make it a point to visit Gulf Coast Sourdough every weekend to pick up different varieties of their bread.Their sourdough breads are made in-house, and they have a well-deserved reputation for both their breads and sandwiches. We are particularly fond of their sourdough bread, which always starts our day on a high note. I also appreciate their website, which clearly details where they distribute their breads. From what I've heard, their sandwiches are also delicious and tasty. While I haven't had the chance to try one yet, I'm definitely looking forward to experiencing their sandwiches in the near future.

I have wanted to stop into their store for a long while after seeing them at the local markets. I am a little mixed on how I feel about my experience and their product, but I will definitely try again to give it another go. There is plenty of parking in front of the store. There are lots of freshly baked bread to choose from to grab to go, lots of interesting flavors. We grabbed a loaf and ordered a fly by breakfast sandwich. We asked for two but realized when we got home that we only got one, so she must have not heard us when we asked for two. The flavor of the bread overpowered the flavor of the bacon egg and cheese inside so I wasn't the biggest fan of it. There are a couple small tables inside and outside but it's really a to-go style place. I will definitely try again but am a little mixed on my experience.

We walked in and ordered 2 sandwiches. There were lots of options. I had the buffalo ranch and it was decent. Our ordered took a really long time to make and we waited about 30 minutes for it to be ready.

I was leaving Revolution Ice Cream when I noticed this business. It was definitely worth visiting. As soon as we entered, the young lady at the register greeted us with a smiling face and was super friendly. My son enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwich which was affordable at $2.99. I ordered the cinnamon rolls and cheesecake sourdough bread pudding for my husband. He thoroughly enjoyed both. It was quiet inside so if you want to read while enjoying a treat it's a nice spot. They have limited seating inside and outside for guests. Looking forward to going back to pick up some bread. I want to try the turmeric black pepper bread and asiago loaf.

The breads are fresh and hearty. My favorite is the sourdough but you can't go wrong with any of the other types available. Picked up a pepperoni fly-by for a late breakfast/early lunch and it was spectacular. They have some craft beers and sodas available if you decide to sit in. The seating is limited and a little tight (less 1 star) but there are few bakeries that I can compare this one to. While here I saw Mayor Castor come in and a lot of locals. Staff is friendly and here to assist. I will definitely be back and will re-evaluate my review then. Oh!!! Don't forget to get your Doughcoin card to earn rewards. I earned 5 points this time around so 5 more and I get my first reward.
