Grillsmith - Carrollwood

Dined here recently. Our server Pamela was amazing. We tried CocaCola Ribs with sautéed spinach and jasmine rice AND Bourbon salmon on a Caesar salad, both were delicious! For dessert, my friend ordered pineapple upside down, very yummy! Overall, great evening! Def will be back for more

We visit this Grillsmith quite a bit because it's in our neighborhood and the food is good.The problem is with the service! So ridiculously slow! We waited at least 25 minutes for someone to approach our table and getting the drinks and food took another 35-45 plus minutes.The coffee was lukewarm and the server explained that he dropped our French fries on the floor so had to make another order.They kind of apologized for the bad service by saying that they had a large party in the other room...that should not be our problem.If you are going to have bad service at least offer to take something off the bill- ie: the drinks or offer a free dessert! It's really too bad because the food is pretty good for this type of restaurant. We still tipped well because we weren't sure whose fault it was for the bad service. I have a thought... maybe add more waitstaff? Maybe the corporate greed has hit this place too. Darn it! Not sure about going back. Wish that Marlowe's Tavern was still open! Great food and really good service!

GrillSmith did a huge remodel and was closed for a long time and I've been back several times since the remodel. It's always a solid choice, especially if you're going with someone who's tastes you don't quite know .Grillsmith takes reservations, which I recommend on the weekends at least. 7PM will have you waiting for a table if you haven't. The bar makes really good drinks and at really good prices for Tampa. The Smoked Old Fashioned is our favorite OF in Tampa and the price is RIGHT. For entree, I usually get the wedge salad and add a protein or I get the burger, which is delicious! The servers are always very nice and attentive.I also appreciate the seasonal menu that rotates now and then. Those items are usually fun and taste good. Grillsmith is a good choice to please everyone in your party, a great place to pop in on a weekday you don't feel like cooking or just want a good drink at the bar. Also, the remodel looks nice.

Another fantastic experience at the Grillsmith. It's a busy Friday night. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was wonderful. Sat by the bar and enjoyed all of the vibrant life around the bar as well as the TVs. My husband always orders a steak here it was perfectly cooked. The fillet eggrolls with the Gorgonzola never disappoint. I went for the chicken Milanese tonight. This was a stellar dish presentation flavor everything. We missed happy hour, but that's OK. Still ordered a whiskey sour Cause it's Friday night and thank goodness this week is over for us. Don't forget to join the fire Smith club and get your points.

Not sure why people aren't flocking back to the place. It was not packed on a holiday weekend which was so surprising. Food was decent and the bartender was slinging those drinks for us at gals dinner. Our servers was helpful and we got lots of good stuff ordered.

Great food, great drinks, great service. First time coming here for brunch and it was great. We arrived when they opened, were seated and served promptly. I ordered the Mistletoe mocktail, a holiday special, and added vodka which tasted great! I appreciate their flexibility with my substitutions to the Chicken and Waffles Benedict, as I am allergic to the sauce and I dislike poached eggs. They easily modified the order to my liking, and the food was super tasty! The only thing I'd change is having my waffle a bit crunchier, as I enjoy a fully toasted waffle, but that was easy to look past when everything else was amazing! I will definitely return in the future!

BEST CHICKEN WINGS EVER. I'm not kidding. The staff was so friendly and so were the kitchen workers by how we saw them interacting. Seems like a great place to work and the staff was enjoying thwir evening while still being super quick. You can sit inside or outside. They have fireplaces outside and great music playing inside. Great for a girls night, especially for their all day happy hour on tuesdays.

Stopped for lunch at the bar. The restaurant is clean and the staff was very friendly. My wife had a wedge salad and said it was great, I had the pulled pork sandwich. It tasted good, but it's not a real "pulled pork" sandwich. I had a hard time finding pulled pork and everything else on the sandwich overpowered the bbq pork. The real pet peeve of mine is bars that sell draft beer and use the cheater pint glasses. The kind with an inch of glass on the bottom which means they end up serving you about a 10oz draft. $5.50 on a 10oz domestic draft is criminal.

We were all looking for a good salad on father's day. I didn't think of grillsmith. But happy we did go. Service is very good and helpful. Very clean and nice upper casual restaurant. We all got salads for lunch and they were good. My wife got the chicken salad and it was good. They could have used a little more dressing. I got the wedge salad with steak. It came with 2 slices of bacon. Wish the could have chopped it up. But the presentation was nice. My steak was cooked perfectly. Very happy we stopped by for lunch.

I come to this location all the time for happy hour and for dinner. I'm writing this review to specifically recognize how great the restaurant was this Wednesday night and to recognize the excellent service we had from our server Tony.I called the day before to inquire about getting a large table out on the patio for a group of 10 to 20 people. This was for a happy hour with coworkers and I want sure exactly how many we would be. The restaurant was very accommodating despite not having a firm number of guests, and when I arrived on Wednesday at 5 PM, they had a long table set up for us and a dedicated area of the patio. Tony, the server came over immediately to introduce himself and told me he'd be taking care of us and he definitely did just that. He was very attentive. He noticed every time someone new arrived and came over quickly to take drink orders. He was so gracious, even though we lingered quite a while towards the end. I can't say enough about this server. If you have the opportunity to sit in his section- do it! Thanks Tony
