Grecian Island Restaurant

Came in for breakfast with my friend. The place is tiny but they make the best out of the space. Service is great! They are quick and attentive. Breakfast was cheap compared to other places I've been and the food was good. The eggs and hash were prepared to my liking. There was an issue later in the week where my card was charged again. I called and they immediately researched and fixed the issue. Going back again this weekend because we loved it so much.

Davis Island is one of my favorite parts of Tampa. This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice because we had a pup with us. We started off with some wine, which was okay. The star of the show was the gyro platter. The platters are so satisfying as there are a variety of things on the platter. there's pita, feta, a boiled egg, olives, potato salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, and dolmas. The Taziki sauce was great. Definitely satisfies all the craving. Can't wait to go back and try some other things. There's street parking and lots of other great bars and restaurants close by.

Weekday lunch with my family. No wait to be seated outside in a beautiful day. I had a gyro with fries and a salad; solid, not mind blowing but definitely hit the spot. Other things we ordered included a hummus gyro, grouper fish sticks, and country fried steak. Everyone was satisfied by their meal. We were very well taken care of by our friendly server (Elleni?), super attentive and friendly.

My girlfriend recently moved to Davis Island so we've been checking out all the restaurants on Davis Blvd. We came here for breakfast and got a bacon egg and cheese on cuban bread and a Greek omelette with gyro meat. The food was pretty solid and I loved how each plate came with a slice of watermelon! Based on the pictures here on Yelp, I realized that their lunch is probably more their specialty. The service was very attentive (there were only a few tables of customers) and our waitress was very sweet. Overall, pretty nice diner style place with a Greek theme. Definitely want to come back to check out the lunch menu.

I stopped here after a walk by the Davis island dog beach. Its in a cute little strip of shops and restaurants. Perfect spot to sit outside for an early Saturday lunch. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. They got busy really quick so go early! I had the chicken gyro and subbed the chips for their potato salad. The gyro is flavored differently than a standard gyro but it was pretty good. The tzatziki is more like a sour cream. I enjoyed sitting outside and trying this spot out. Next time I'll try the Greek salad!

Pretty decent food for a smaller home-y restaurant. The gyro meat was tasty but the eggs were bland. I'm wanting to go back to try their lunch menu to see if it's more traditional Greek food! We sat outside and the seats were kind of dirty which wasn't great. Our server was very attentive and continually checking up on us though, which made the experience nice. Every meal is served with a piece of watermelon which I thought was unique! The inside is diner style and cute. Overall, a decent experience.

Does not look like anything special when you walk by, but this is my favorite Greek place in Tampa. Grecian Island is your textbook cute mom and pop place where the staff seems like they are all family. The pita is always warm and chewy (just how I like it). For $11 I get a gyro pita wrap, fries, and a side salad for lunch, which is pretty hard to beat. As good as the food is, nothing beats the nostalgic feeling of being served by bubbly, kind-hearted people who care about your experience. The only downside is they close at 2-2:30 p.m. I wish they were open more often!!!

We came by for breakfast. We were seated quickly and enjoyed some good coffee while waited for our order. We had a veggie omelet with grilled tomatoes and a greek omelet. The veggie omelet was good with sautéed spinach inside the grilled tomatoes were a bit too mushy for me. The greek omlet was also good with nice portion of meat inside. The food was overall good. The stained and drooping ceiling tiles and few number of wait staff made it a little less appealing. We may stop by again when in the area.

We LOVE Grecian Island! The food is awesome and the family that owns it is amazing. We love to sit outside when the weather is cooler.
