A friend suggested this place, and it was a wonderful surprise. Every table was full and the staff did a great job. Table-side cheese wheel pasta was popular

I think I echo the sentiment of other who have given 3 stars- what was once an amazing restaurant with fantastic food and service has unfortunately become somewhat average. In a place like Saint Petersburg that has so many fantastic options, I do not consider this restaurant "worth it" anymore. I find the menu uninspired and the food to be of average quality, my chicken parm was tough and noodles very watery, it left a puddle on the plate. I cant even remember what my boyfriend got as it was unremarkable. The restaurant itself has a fancy feel inside- clashing with an average wine list and boring cocktails. I feel I could get the same quality food (and a more inspired menu) for half the price down the street at jay luigi. To top it off the wait staff is somewhat inattentive. This was once one of favorite Italian restaurant years ago. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back again.

Great spot for an early dinner! If you go between 4-5pm Monday through Friday, you can choose from a special Early Bird menu. For $25, you get a salad (which was pretty big) or pasta & fagioli soup (which was not as good as the salad), choice of 5-6 entrees, and chef's dessert. Also, wine, beer and well drinks during this time are only $4.As far as entrees, the Penne Maltese and Chicken Saltimbocca were wonderful!

Went here for a bachelorette/birthday dinner and it was fun. The flaming wheel of cheese is always a hit. I will say the tables were pretty scrunched together, so it was a little bit of a tight fit. The food was pretty decent, but unfortunately, I filled up on bread before I got to eat most of it our server was nice though they forgot to take off the charge for the free birthday dessert! When we asked about if they fixed it without any issues.

Got a last-minute reservation for a party of 13. From the moment we arrived, we had fabulous service, even though it was towards the end of the evening. The atmosphere was cozy, the tables were a bit close together but it wasn't a problem.Though the menu is pricey, considering you're downtown it's not terrible, each entree came with soup or salad which is rare to find these days. I went with the salad and devoured it, it was so good. I heard the pasta fagioli soup was good too. The entrees were really good portion sized and very tasty. I stuck with eggplant parmesan, delicious and had plenty of leftovers. The hit of the night was the cheese wheel pasta, and the show that came along with it. It was an overall fantastic dining experience. It isn't easy to find a spot for a larger party, but they accommodated and we were well taken care of.

Hubby and I came here for the first time with some friends. We were celebrating his fiancé's birthday. Place was crowded when we came in. Went over to the bar and got a drink until our seats were ready. The bar tender waited on us right away. Very friendly and right on point with the drinks. Did not spare the alcohol, you will only need one unless you like your drinks strong. I ordered the salmon with risotto. The risotto was amazing, the salmon was slightly over cooked. My friend has the shrimp scampi and she said it was delicious. Her fiancé had the meat and spaghetti, with a side of sausage added to it. He also enjoyed his meal. My hubby's meal was amazing. So much flavor! It came with sausage and he ordered one meatball to go with it. The place is tight as they have many tables put out for seating, but decorated well. We all really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to coming back.

Where do I even begin????Walking in the hospitality was warming and welcoming. Our server was seasoned, knowledgeable and honest. The early bird menu is a STEAL. You get soup or salad (which are both very good) , a select entree from the early bird menu, cannolis and a house made shot of Limoncello for 25 American Dollars. By the way a shot of Limoncello comes with all entrees but you have to request it. The Bada Bing is a whole experience in itself. You are able to order The Bada Bing as an appetizer and share amongst the table. The ambience screams old money. There is street parking and garage parking but no valet.

We were seated immediately and chose the outdoor option. The hostess was personable and made sure to bring kids' menus for our little ones. Inside has a very old school Italian ambiance, but the weather was too good to pass up outside.Victoria, our server, came over immediately, took our drink order, and asked if there were any special considerations for the table that she needed to be aware of. Our drinks came out extremely fast, and we ordered the Calamari Fritti, Mussels Posillipo, and Shrimp Aribbiatta. All of the appetizers were awesome, but the shrimp was spectacular. We followed that order up with our mains which consisted of Linguine Pescatore, Rigatonnaci a la Vodka, Spaghetti and Meatballs and Bucatini con Burrata. All of them were very flavorful, but the extreme hit was the Rigatonnaci that has an incredible fluffy consistency and sauce that has so much flavor it was indescribable. For dessert, we chose the tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. Overall, it was the best Italian we have had in DTSP and on par with some of the best I have had outside of Italy. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the area, but try for a reservation, as the wait can be long without one.
