Gong Cha

I drove from central Florida here for a special Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration that is running until the end of August. You have to buy 3 drinks (they have special ones for the event, but you can get any 3 drinks) and you get a card with a scratch off code for an in game exclusive mount, that has only previously been available in Japan. So nerd me - I'm 100% in! Also there is the option to get a key chain instead of the mount card, but they're out of key chains, so fyi. It was FAARRR busier than I expected - apparently there are plenty of FFXIV nerds out there, even if they are all a lot younger than me. The staff did a fantastic job taking orders and filling them. I had to wait about 50 minutes (they were SLAMMED with orders - and you have to order 3 drinks per person to get the mount card). The guy in front of me ordered 12 drinks! The staff all had a great attitude and kept cranking out the orders - with a smile and accurately. I hope they're getting paid extra for working this event! I definitely tipped on my order.The drinks themselves were fun. Drink 1) Cactaur Matcha Latte - otherwise known as a Matcha Matte. This was my first time trying a matcha latte - I have to say - not a fan - super grassy/earthy tasting. The drink does not come with boba. Drink 2) Fat Chocobo Flying Smoothie - this was supposed to be a Mango Smoothie Latte but they ran out of Mango, but were substituting Peach. This drink does come with boba. I really enjoyed this one - super peachy and refreshing and their boba is nice and chewy. Drink 3) Fat Cat Purrfect Latte - otherwise known as a Brown Sugar Milk Tea - my daughter drank this one and enjoyed it.Things to note if you're a regular boba drinker - this place does allow you to alter your ice amount and your sweetness level. They do not offer dairy free milk - all the milk drinks are fresh regular milk. The drinks come in either medium or large and the prices are what you'd expect. I got all three drinks for around $20 before tipping.Definitely a good boba place - I drove an hour and 15 minutes to check it out and glad I did for the drinks and the event.

I have a hard time finding a lot of boba shops in Tampa. We visited this one since we are in the area and they had some cute gingerbread cups. When we got there I found out the location didn't have them, so I was a little disappointed. We ended up just grabbing a large brown sugar milk tea with boba for $7. The drink comes with black tea and the typical swirl design on the side of the cup. I wished it was a little sweeter and had less ice.There's a few tables to the side if you want to hang and a little wall to take your insta shots. The staff made our milk tea quickly and were out in no time.

I have been dyinggg to try this place as all my favorite YouTubers rate this place highly across the US! Got the crème brûlée tea with brown sugar boba and crème cheese foam. The boba was so yummy - I wish I got a little less sweet, and that would've made it perfect! Can't wait to try more drinks here.

Once you move past the dingy strip-mall location, this really is the pinnacle of bubble tea. We had the large peach slush with mild foam and strawberry jelly, 50% sugar. This had it all; sweet, cool, creamy, tangy, fruity, refreshing. Perfect treat on a hot and humid Florida afternoon. The store was clean, our orders were taken promptly, and our drink came out quickly. This will be our go-to bubble tea as long as we are in Tampa

Well you know my tea addiction and I'm always on the hunt to try new tea places! So of course I had to go abs give it a try!!Cute shop located right near my work which made going here to try this place a breeze. Easy entrance and exit with plenty of parking. Greeted upon entering abs we were the only customers. Deciding what to order was a challenge because they have soo many options that look good. I opted to go with the matcha milk tea with almond milk and unsweetened. I have to admit it's not one of my top rated. It was just ok. Tasted watered down and I really didn't like the flavor of their matcha. Will I return? Yes, I want to give them another shot and try something different. I won't give up on you just yet Gong Cha!

Yummy boba! Very smooth and not too sweet. Great service! Quick and easy. Will be continuing to return due to quality

Gong Cha seem like the one we saw at Gwinnett near Atlanta. The drink selection is similar too. This boba place is kind of new. Good tea taste. The boba is marinated in brown sugar. We got the earl grey milk tea with 3js. The 3js stand for three jelly. The jelly are grass jelly, egg custard, and boba. We also got the brown sugar boba tea with almond milk. Both tea selection are excellent.

It's not often that I don't give a boba place a higher review. My main complaint with my experience here is that I asked for 1/3 sweetness and the drink was still by far the sweetest I've ever had! I did Not feel good after drinking that and I drink bubble tea on the regular so this is saying a lot. The menu has lots of options which is great but a bit overwhelming. Prices are a bit high.. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The interior was clean and cute.

This place is a bit out of our way but well worth the drive! Was impressed, I think their boba is better than most of the boba places in Tampa. You can call them and order ahead which I'd recommend because they were a bit slow with the drinks and food. They also sell food btw, we got the crab Rangoon (so good, generous amount of filling!) and the matcha waffle (pretty good... kind of bland imo...but it's a unique concept). For drinks, we got the strawberry taro with strawberry popping boba (Highly recommend!!) & purple sweet potato smoothie with reg boba, no sugar (tasted like they used real potatoes which was good, but I probably should've added some sugar lol). Tapioca balls were soft, chewy, fresh. I'll def be going back to try more of their drinks. The only downside was the time it took for them to have everything ready. We even called 20min ahead to order our food but still had to wait additional 15ish min when we got there to get our drinks and food... Other than that service was great, the place is small but very clean and cute!

This place was alright. I'm always searching for boba places and found this place and figured I haven't been here so I decided to try it. It's a bit pricy and it's okay. They have few seatings and they do have a variety of items. I'll give them another try
