Haven't been here in awhile because they close so frickin early ! This obsession with LP restaurants to close by 2 is beyond obscene and this place closes at 1:30 ! Which really means you need to order by 1 oclock ... why are you afraid of late lunch or god forbid dinner crowds ? If the food is good people will come ... i swear they will...

A quaint restaurant. We went for breakfast and the dining area is rather cozy. The scrambled eggs were rather dry and the toast was a little stiff. This is definitely a mom and pop venue. The pricing is fair.

Great food, large portions, local favorite. Downtown Lake Placid, close enough to walk the murals.

Has really gone downhill the last year or so. No silverware nor glass plates. No waiter to take your order. Only been there once in the last year, but the food seemed less homemade and more "food supplier" made.

Very varied menu for breakfast, full 2 sided menu. One person ordered a cinnamon roll to start with, very cinnamony and good. One person had eggs and blueberry pancakes and enjoyed those another had eggs with French toast, another had sausage and gravy, I had the Hot Rhonda. It's a chicken breast with 2 easy over eggs on top, between 2 mini waffles with hot honey on the chicken. It's a was wonderful, loved the hot honey and it worked perfectly together with the chicken, waffle and eggs. Service was very good and apparently the new ice cream counter with 32 different kinds of ice cream is a new addition ( it wasn't open at 10 am on a Sat. morning). The restaurant has a small town cafe feel. Breakfast prices were a bit higher than other places in the areas, my Hot Rhonda was one of the cheaper items at around $10.50. I can't remember the eggs with pancakes price ( think was typically priced, omelets were higher) and I can't enlarge the menu to read the prices.

Staff were all friendly and outgoing. Food was DELICIOUS! We got a Reuben and a Chicken Melt. Both sandwiches were served hot, with a side order of fries that were steaming and crispy! The Marble Rye bread was perfectly toasted and oh so tasty! We will definitely be back!

While the food was good, we felt it was a bit overprice! I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which was $8.99 and came with nothing! They would be well served to add a handful of chips and a pickle! We added an order of sweet potato fries which were $4.50! hubby had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich which was $11.99.....again just a sandwich. Our meal, with tip was $30! in our view not worth the price. However, the Restaurant was cute and the staff friendly!
